Please review these terms and conditions for all lots selling at the National Convention Sale. These Terms & Conditions will be used in conjunction with Holstein USA Terms & Conditions for Public Auction.

Buyers

Purchase of Live Animals (Lots that do not have a choice to be made)

If you purchase any lot that is a single animal, live on sale day, regardless of her age or location, you are obligated to pay the full purchase price of the animal on sale day. Buyers can protect their investment by purchasing insurance through a company of their choice. If Buyers do not acquire insurance immediately at the time of purchase, Buyer is self-insuring the animal and assumes all risk at that point. It is not the Sellers nor Sale Managers responsibility to insure cattle for the Buyer once the gavel has fallen whether purchased by the Buyer at the sale, through an agent or on the internet.

Choice of Flush or Choice of Multiple Animals/Individual Live

35% of the selling price is due on sale day, unless noted otherwise in the catalog or announced, to sale management. The remaining balance is due direct to the seller upon selection of your purchase. Purchase of Choice of flush or choice of multiple animals sold require Buyer to select their purchase by the time the youngest animal in the package reaches 4 months of age unless otherwise noted or announced. All health testing and insurance details outlined in these terms and conditions shall apply.

Payment for animals sold in absentia is expected in full on sale day. Any animal selling in absentia is guaranteed to be in good health and condition at the time of the sale and will have been inspected by a licensed Veterinarian prior to the sale with the necessary tests guaranteed to be negative (TB BVD-PI and Brucellosis (if age appropriate) along with a shipping fever vaccination). A certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI) will be provided at the sale for heath guarantees and insurance purposes. After this certificate is provided, the Seller’s only responsibility after the sale is to provide adequate and proper housing and care for the animal until she is picked up by the Buyer or his agent and perform the necessary testing once notified. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to provide Seller with information needed for interstate health charts for delivery of the animal and transportation plans and instructions. It is the sole responsibility of the Buyer to arrange for transportation of the purchased animal. We have provided a list of truckers who can assist in transportation in the front of this catalog and we also included phone numbers and emails of all consignors for your convenience. All animals in the sale may be inspected by prospective Buyers or their agents prior to the sale upon request to the seller.

Sellers

Any animals sold in absentia under 4 months of age can be housed at the Seller’s facility at no extra charge to the Buyer until that animal is 4 months of age, if the buyer so wishes. For an animal sold in Absentia that is over 4 months of age, the Buyer will be responsible for board fees of $8 per day until the animal leaves the Seller’s facility. For this sale, the Buyer will have a grace period until 7/15/23 where no board fees will be charged.

Seller guarantees a sound, healthy, animal at the time of the sale and proof of this will be the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) which must be provided prior to the sale. Seller will prepare health charts for interstate travel for all animals in the sale immediately upon receiving instructions from the buyer. The only tests that are guaranteed to be provided by the Seller are TB, Brucellosis and a vaccination for shipping fever.

Seller will work to provide adequate care for the cattle that are sold to a new Buyer and will notify Buyer immediately in the event of illness or sudden death of an animal should occur. Any veterinarian care or autopsies performed will be at the Buyer’s Expense
