A Holiday with a 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R When you conjure memories of going into a holiday, one of the things that you picture doing is to cruise down the streets in an elite level (or at the very least, a great) car to get to your destination. But what if you got the ability to blast those same streets with the quickness only seemingly reserved with airplanes? One of those manufacturers that can be assured to produce cars that can give you such ability is Koenigsegg. Producing cars that defy world records for production automobiles, they are sure to make your spine tingle with their superlative ability to travel at high speed. And their newest offering, the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R, is perhaps the best one yet. The Koenigsegg Agera R is a modified version of the Koenigsegg Agera, their latest model and successor to the wildly successful Koenigsegg CCX. To somehow meet the expectations of replacing a world-beating supercar is one thing, surpassing them is another. And that is what the Agera has achieved with resounding success. Its name is derived from the Swedish word meaning, “to act; it is made capable of creating action, perhaps the best action that an automobile can muster. Some bits and pieces that are found in the Agera include a monocoque chassis developed out of carbon fiber designed to provide maximum stiffness, and a body that is shaped to be aerodynamic even at extreme speeds. Wheels and tires that are especially made for breaking the

400 kilometers per hour barrier, and large diameter ceramic brakes that are made to stop the car efficiently. A 7 speed dual clutch transmission that is crafted in such a way to shift gears at the quickest possible time, and a 5000 cc V8 engine capable of producing more than 900 horsepower. Just when people thought that this car can’t get any crazier, the R option was unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. So what makes the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R a cut above the already incredible Agera? Well, it is designed to go even faster. It features a new rear wing that self adjusts, which produces down force when you absolutely need it. It also features a Vortex Generating Rim, a type of wheel that generates more down force by using its spokes as a turbine. And then there’s the engine. While it is fundamentally similar to the engine used in the Agera, the Agera R’s engine is made special particularly because it is designed primarily to run using biofuel. This works in 2 ways: it reduces the harmful emissions it creates, and it unleashes more power. Now, the engine can now produce more than 1100 horsepower, and when combined with the Agera R’s superior build, it is enough to take it to zero to 100 in less than 3 seconds, zero to 300 in less than 15 seconds, and a top speed of more than 400 kilometers per hour. Just imagine if you can take one during your holiday. That’s going to be beyond awesome. So if you can imagine yourself tearing up the roads during the holiday using the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R, prepare to shell out around 1.6 million dollars. And even if you do have it, remember to still drive sensibly so that you can enjoy your ultimate holiday.

Koenigsegg Agera R: Among the World’s Best Cars In such a short span of time, Koenigsegg has been among the best car producers in the world. Creating some of the fastest automobiles the world has ever seen, this Swedish company’s approach with vehicles is nothing short of world class. With its various vehicles, it has broken all kinds of speed records, lap records, and won a ton of awards along the way. At some point, some people think like perhaps they’ll reach their limit one way or another. But no, they just kept on pushing the envelope some more with their latest offering, the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R. Quite possibly the fastest car in the world; it is one heck of a car both inside and out. So what makes it among the world’s best? The Agera R made its debut on the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Better known as an upgraded version of the Agera, it had made quite a stir during the show. With its special tires custom made by Michelin, a roof box also custom made by Thule, and an equally custom Speed Racer inspired paint job and livery, it is one of the more eye catching concepts seen on an auto show floor in recent memory. But this car is not just all show, as it made it into production just months later. And the production model is one of the best cars there is. One thing that works on the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R’s favor is that it is basically the already amazing Agera, only with some modifications aimed to make it much more menacing. It inherited the same components that make the Agera one of the quickest cars ever made. There is the 5.0-liter V8 engine that is created in house by Koenigsegg. There is the 7-speed dual clutch transmission that is the first gearbox ever to feature only one input shaft. There is the aluminumforged wheels wrapped in specially made Michelin tires that makes it capable of turning at 1.60g and keep stability at 400 kilometers per hour. There is the body shell and chassis that is shaped out of mostly carbon fiber. And all those bits and pieces that makes this car every bit as fast and unique. But for the Agera R, 200000 dollars worth of upgrades made it even more special. The same engine that is used to power the Agera is modified for the Agera R. Modified to be able to use biofuel as its primary fuel source, it not only decreased this car’s production of harmful emissions, but it also increased its performance potential. Now rated at 1115 horsepower

(a 200 hp upgrade), when coupled with the improved aerodynamics, the Agera R is capable of having a top speed of 275 miles per hour, beating the world record set by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. There are a lot of ways in which you can justify it, but the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R is one of the world’s best cars. Combining record-breaking performance with environmental sensibility, it is one of those cars that is destined to make a mark in automotive history.

2011 Koenigsegg Agera R: Its Place among the World’s Most Expensive Cars Among the world’s most expensive cars list, the usual suspects are the Ferraris, the Lamborghinis, and other more mainstream brands. Using their experience and their technical mastery (as well as their cash), they were able to create vehicles that continue to defy the limits of road going transportation. But there are competitors that are out to give the established brands a run for their money. One such company is Koenigsegg. Tracing its roots from Sweden, a country more popular to the automotive world due to another company, Volvo, this company has been able to produce some of the most imagination provoking vehicles in the world. And their new car is sure to do just that anew. Introducing, the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R. The Koenigsegg Agera has picked up where the CCX left off. It is a proper hypercar, relentless in its pursuit of speed. It is equipped with all the gadgetry that you would come to expect with something that aims to break speed records. Armed with a body shell and honeycomb chassis made of carbon fiber, it is constructed to be as light and as stable as possible. Aluminum wheels equipped with Michelin tires that are designed to go at speeds of 400 kilometers per hour are also standard equipment. Ceramic brakes that measure at about 15 inches on all 4 sides give it the stopping power needed for those super speed boosts. And there’s a 5.0-liter V8 motor equipped with a pair of turbochargers to give it the explosive power needed to go for those super

speed boosts. In addition, it is adorned with some quirky details that make it worth a million dollars. There’s the removable hardtop that allows it to transform into a coupe or a convertible (the top can be stored on the front hood), a customized interior, and an elaborate LED lighting system inside and out. And then, there is the much-ballyhooed Agera R option. Making its debut in the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R stole the show with its Speed Racer inspired paint job, a more aerodynamic body, and special tires courtesy of Michelin. But the improvements are more than just skin-deep. It made noise because of its powertrain. The same V8 engine seen on the Agera is now made to accept biofuel. This subtle yet radical (at least for supercars) modification allows it to be green by helping reducing greenhouse emissions, and yet turn it into a much bigger beast than it already is. The output is now rated at 1115 horsepower, which is humongous in every sense of the word. This newfound power boost allows this car to go from 0-100 kph in less than 3 seconds and break world records such as top speed (reportedly pegged at 275 mph) and 0-300kph acceleration (14.53 seconds). All these gaudy stats (plus the environmentally sound fuel compatibility) make the R option worthy of the additional 211000dollar premium on the already expensive Agera. Sure, the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R might be one of the most expensive cars ever (1.6 million dollars to be exact), but it is surely worth every penny to own possibly the future of supercars.

Koenigsegg Agera R: Not Your Daily Sports Car It is not everyday that you encounter a sports car. And it is even rarer for you to encounter a sports car that seems to defy just about every limitation that you can conceive for a vehicle. Koenigsegg is a car company that has the expertise in doing cars just like that. Producing world-beating road cars, they have been producing some of the fastest street legal vehicles on Earth. Their latest product is the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R, a sports car that is not just obscenely fast, but just might redefine the future of the supercar. This is definitely not the type of sports car that you’ll see daily. Koenigsegg, a sports car manufacturer based in Sweden, has been making some of the most insane cars on the planet. In a supercar world that is dominated by technical marvels that spark the imagination of people worldwide, they have managed to create their niche and stamp their presence on this very exclusive market with products such as the CCX and the Agera. But just when we thought that they couldn’t get any more extreme, they have came up with a new product. And this new product made its debut at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. It came out with an outfit that would put most show cars into shame. A Thule Roof Box and a Speed Racer inspired paint job coupled with special Michelin tires have set the tone for the release of the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R. But if you think this car is all for show, think again, especially if you see it blasting down the road.

So what makes this car very special? It’s all in the details. The Agera R is of course based on the Agera; a car by itself is already one of the most technologically advanced cars on the planet. It means that the Agera R is the recipient of a gaudy list of standard equipment: a body and chassis made of carbon fiber, forged aluminum wheels, ceramic brakes, a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, and a twin turbo V8 engine. But of course, it doesn’t end there. What makes it so “un-daily” compared to supercars is how it is configured. In fact, the Agera R runs on biofuel! While it is capable of using a wide range of fuels starting with 95-octane gasoline, it is best used with biofuel. In fact, it works 2 ways. It allows for the production of lesser harmful emissions, and it makes its performance even more menacing. How about having an output of over a thousand horsepower of force and Newton meters of torque? That’s how menacing of an upgrade it has.

So how does the Agera R perform? How about a 0-100 kph dash of 2.9 seconds? Or a 0300 kph dash of 14.53 seconds (which is a world record by the way)? Or a top speed of 275 miles per hour (also a world record)? It may be one of the most atypical, and yet it is one of the best sports cars today, if not of all time. From all these innovations and statistics, it is obvious that the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R is not your daily sports car. It is not just quick but it is also innovative. It just might be the sign of things to come for the supercar market, and perhaps for the automotive industry as a whole.

2011 Koenigsegg Agera R: One of the World’s Best Luxury Cars What defines a luxury car? Is it the creature comforts related to riding it? It is the enormous performance potential that it packs under the hood? Is it the price one has to pay to own one? Is it the precision and craftsmanship executed by world-class craftspeople to create the car? Is it the exclusivity of numbers? Whatever your definition of a luxury car is, the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R should fit in to your standards seamlessly. It is one of the best luxury cars in the world today, and it might take a time (or it may never will) before it gets overshadowed. This car is essentially a modified Agera, the latest product that came out of the Koenigsegg stable. To put everything into perspective, the Agera itself is already one hell of a car. It is equipped with an aerodynamically shaped body shell that is designed to create maximum down force with less drag. There is the monocoque chassis made out of carbon fiber that is strong enough that it doesn’t lose rigidity even with the top down. There are the wheels that are specially designed to add more downforce. There are the tires that are specially made for achieving high cornering speeds and serious speeds. There is the engine that is capable of more than 900 horsepower. There is the interior that is as unique as they come. And there is the sheer joy of driving one of

the best sports cars in the world. Sounds like an ultimate luxury car, right? But with the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R, they are taking the Agera into the next level. For starters, availing the R package is going to cost you 200000 dollars. Well that is huge, but these are some of the things that you would get out of it: A rear spoiler that adjusts according to speed, a 7-speed gearbox with dual clutches and a semi automatic function, an optional Thule roof box, and an updated engine. While all of these modifications deserve special mention, it is the engine modification that absolutely stands out in this car. In a nutshell, it is still the same engine used in the Agera. It is still 5000 cc. It is still equipped with 2 turbochargers. It is still a V8. But the biggest change in this engine is that it is made to run using biofuel. Sure, it sounds like this change fits better with a green magazine, but it doesn’t end there. Having it as your primary fuel source in this car is going to up the ante of this car’s performance. Maximum output is rated at 1115 horsepower, which is probably the highest output in any road car today. This is enough to attain world records in top speed (275 miles per hour) and zero to 180 miles per hour acceleration (14.53 seconds). All of these stats come at a price though. When summed all up, the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R is going to cost someone more than 1.6 million dollars. This makes it all the more exclusive. After all, how many chances can you have to acquire the world’s fastest production car, especially if it’s a biofuel-powered one? It is extreme luxury and exclusivity at its finest.

2011 Koenigsegg Agera R: World’s Fastest Car? During the last few years, Koenigsegg has made a reputation as one of the best producers of sports cars in the world. Not only that, the sports cars that Koenigsegg produces are insanely fast, insanely equipped, and insanely exclusive. Because of this reputation, fans hold on with bated breath whenever they release cars or even prototypes. Their latest creation, the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R, is no exception. Because believe it or not, this car just might be the fastest production car in the world. The Koenigsegg Agera R made its debut in March 2011 at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, a show known for being the site where supercars and super-prototypes are born. And upon arrival there, it stole the show almost immediately. It hit Geneva with a one of a kind look that is made of the stuff of what car show legends are made of. It came with a paint job and livery inspired by Speed Racer, was fitted with special Michelin tires, and a Thule roof box. With such a look, it has an image that it is ready to rumble with just about any car out there. And it sure can rumble. The Koenigsegg Agera is already one of the fastest and most advanced sports cars in the world. The successor to the wildly successful CCX/CCXR supercars, it is poised to take on just about any road car, and even just about any land speed record, on the planet. With the Agera R, Koenigsegg has just taken it to another level. The 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R looks like just about any ordinary (if that term even applies to this car) Agera, and it is equipped with the same gadgetry that is associated with the Agera. It means that the same 5.0-liter V8 engine designed by Koenigsegg themselves and stuffed with 2 turbos, is still there. The 7-speed transmission, together with the 2 clutches that weighs in at an unbelievable 178 pounds is also still there. The same forged aluminum wheels, 19 inches on the front and 20 inches on the back, are still there. The massive ceramic brakes that measure at least 15 inches in diameter are also there. The carbon fiber constructed body and chassis are also still there. So what makes this car so unique from a standard Agera? What makes the Agera R stand out from its brother (and just about every supercar that exists today) is that it is a flex-fuel car. It can run on 95-octane petrol, but it can also run on pure biofuel. But what makes it unbelievable is that it is better-suited using biofuel. In fact, when using this type of gasoline, it expands the engines performance outputs into over a thousand horsepower and Nm. This is enough power to catapult the Agera R to a top speed of more than 400 kilometers per hour. Which on how it stands, is the current world record (Guinness is yet to confirm this, but this was done in the supervision of a reliable third party. It is also the world record holder for the fastest 0-300 kilometers per hour acceleration time, doing this in 14.53 seconds. It is incredible to note that the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R is the world’s fastest car. But equally incredible that it runs on clean fuel while achieving it. This car is really something special.
