The latest digital analysis and machine cut technology is used to create a perfect surface on each tooth of the drive gear. By using the latest premium Duralumin material, precision designs deliver an incredibly smooth rotation quality.

By applying a special treatment to the surface of the drive gear it has enhanced the reliability and feel for anglers. In some models, DAIWA has used a heavy duty pinion gear material which prioritises strength over all else. This material is similar to what is used in Saltiga. Models LT4000-XH and LT5000-CXH feature this added benefit.*

A special coating treatment is applied to the surface of the drive gear teeth to further enhance strength and durability.
