the iPhone killers’ list Since the introduction of the Apple iPhone on January the 9th, the world has gone touch pad crazy, touch pad technology is the way of the future and many companies have heard the call and made their own touch pad phones in direct competition with the iPod. Now is touchscreen, the iPhone has its own mobile category (e iPhone Killer), almost all manufacturers realize that if they want to sell their smartphones they should label them as “iphone killer”, it is not enough to have a full featured smartphone if is not a iphone killer and everyday you see how desperate they are just adding touchscreen to make their devices look like an iphone instead of adding new features. Check the list and make your bets, I believe that the only smartphone that will push down the iphone is another iphone. 1. Samsung F700
Coming in at Number 1 is the Samsung F700 ultra slim phone, answering the call early Samsung have come up with a splendid touch pad phone. Main features of the phone include a 5 megapixel camera, touch pad technology, impressive downloads speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and a cool slide out QWERTY Keyboard, which is something the iPhone is lacking. With their first deluge into touch pad phones Samsung seem to have hit a home run straight of the bat.

5. OpenMoko Neo1973
At Number Three we see the Nokia Aeon Concept Phone. This phone is just a concept phone and not currently available to the consumer, it has been around for a very long time. Obviously Nokia was onto to touch phone technology from the very early stages, The OpenMoko Neo1973 has been their long term research and studying dubbed the iPhone killer and it is hard into the technology, may see them if to disagree it has some awesome not in the form of the Aeon bring out features, such as a large, touch-
At Six is another concept phone the Asus Aura Concept Phone. 7. FIC-GTA001
The Linux based FIC-GTA001 smartphone fights it way to the Number 7 spot and actually comes bundled with a SDK (Software Development Kit). Sporting a 2.8-inch VGA display and having nifty features like; multi-touch sensor recognition, GSM, GPS and MP3 playback capabilities, its no mystery why we think the phone is cool! The FIC-GTA001 draws it juice from a Samsung ARM9-based processor and the two finger scrolling is reminiscent of the Macbook.
9. Meizu M8
Samsung in particular are in good positions to capitalize on early on sales of touch phones and establish themselves. Believe it or not Micorsoft were the first makers of a touchpad phone, back in the year 2000 they made the Sagem WA 3050.
At Nine is the Chinese only Meizu M8 which is also known as the miniOne. It’s claim to fame and the reason why is it so well known in the tech world is because it is believed that this company knocked off the iPhones design. They plan to confuse the 11. Blackberry Bold Chinese market and cash in big time by selling the phone on the cheap in China, which is just wrong, really wrong.
8. BenQ-Siemens Black Box Concept Phone 10. Sagem WA 3050
Big on design but lacking in features, the BenQ-Siemens Black Box Concept Phone comes in at Number Eight. This phone is just a concept phone. BenQ is trying to make a impact in Asia cell phone market. This phones lacks all the cool functions the above phones have and just really has a nice design and big touch screen. Apple has nothing to worry about with this one.
We searched everywhere but couldn’t find a tenth touch phone. There is sure to be another one soon, any help would be appreciated. We just couldn’t hold off on posting this awesome article any longer :). So thats it. This is only just the beginning of the Touchpad Phone revolution. The companies above have all heard the call and acted fast on this new phenomena. LG, Apple and

Lets look at what these two services offer and how do they compare against each other? First up lets see what Live Mesh offers? You dont often see Microsoft getting credit for something they introduce first in the market. Live Mesh truly is a game changer for Microsoft as far as their online services are concerned and its in a league of its own. It is currently only open to a small group of private testers. It offers free 5GB cloud storage to synchronize and store data in the cloud. The best thing about Live Mesh is that it integrates extremely well into Windows shell which allows us to synchronize our files and folders between various devices but the catch is that it also has an option which keeps the file in cloud making it available whenever and wherever you want. The service also promises to support Mac’s and Windows Mobile (iPhone anyone?) phones to sync files within multiple platforms. Remote Desktop is also a great addition that enables us to remotely access our computers within our Mesh network from anywhere around the world. Live Mesh also includes a cloud storage component, called Live Desktop. It is an online service that allows synchronized folders to be accessible via a website and it looks extremely

similar to Windows Explorer found in Windows OS. One of the bigger benefits of Live Mesh would be when later this year, an API would be release which would allow us to build app’s that would run online under Live Desktop environment. All an all, Live Mesh works great for a service which is currently only available as a technology preview and so I have great expectations from this promising service which will be released later this year.
the main difference lies between Live Mesh and MobileMe. MobileMe offers beautiful looking web versions of the native applications in Mac whereas on the other hand Live Mesh offers synchronization with remote computing and Live desktop capabilities. It is also worthy to note that Microsoft already offers web based Mail and Calendar through their Windows Live platform but ofcoarse they dont collaborate or work as well as what Apple
Now lets see what MobileMe has to offer? MobileMe gives you access to 20GB of space in the cloud for a fee of $99/year. You can upload photos or documents. You can share your calendar across multiple platforms. You also get email service which can be used with Microsoft Outlook. So MobileMe is basically a simple way to keep everything up to date. You can have the same data everywhere i.e. your computer, web and your phone and is always up to date. Apple’s idea behind this is that when something changes in one place, it will automatically change in all of the others. In essence, it will “push” the changes across your devices.
Do everything you need to do on every device you own. MobileMe works with Mail, Address Book, and iCal on a Mac; Microsoft Outlook on a PC with Windows XP or Vista; and the built-in applications on your iPhone or iPod touch. Check your email, change your calendar, edit your contacts, and more at me.com. Accessible anywhere, me.com is an ad-free suite of web applications — Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Gallery, and iDisk — that are elegant and easy to use. You can drag and drop, click and drag, use keyboard shortcuts, and even switch between applications with a single click. Me.com is such a great web experience, it seems as if you’re using desktop software. This subscription-based service will be available on July 11. It’s priced at $99 per year with 20 GB of storage.
Both the services differ from each other in many areas as stated above but they do have same idea behind MobileMe stores all your email, i.e. to synchronize user data so that contacts, and calendars on an online they dont have to worry about server - or “cloud” - and pushes updating multiple devices all the them down to your iPhone, iPod time. touch, Mac, and PC. When you make a change on one device, the In my opinion Live Mesh has more cloud updates the others. Push potential because the platform is happens automatically, instantly, and open for others to develop on Live continuously. You don’t have to wait Desktop once the API is released Besides all this, MobileMe also for it or remember to do anything - later this year. offers web versions to the native such as docking your iPhone and client applications found in Mac like syncing manually - to stay up to iCal, iLife and Mail. icrosoft and Apple have been fighting each other for the public perception in the Innovation Space, Apple has been in the front, putting together ideas and services faster than Microsoft and solutions that work as advertised. In the other hand, Microsoft has been showing and promising excellent costumers and business solutions, but some of them failed to passionate developers. This past April, Microsoft demonstrated Live Mesh, a cloud storage service that allows files and folders to be shared and synchronized across multiple devices. Once a folder is set for synchronization, it will be available in all devices, and any changes made to the content of the folder will be reflected across all devices. Live Mesh uses FeedSync to convey the changes made in each device so that the changes can be synchronized. The information about devices and folders participating in a synchronization relationship is not stored locally but at the service-end. Devices in a sync relationship are collectively referred to as a Mesh.

Image of Back-up Collision Prevention Operation Image of Side Collision Prevention Operation Back-up Collision Prevention: During a reversing maneuver, rear and side-mounted sensors detect objects in the path of the vehicle. If an object is detected an alarm sounds followed by the activation of the brakes, to help avoid a collision in situations such as when a vehicle is backing out of a parking space.
The DCA helps maintain an adequate following distance, while the LDP helps to prevent the vehicle from veering off its designated driving lane. Both the DCA and LDP systems complement the SCP and BCP to create the All-Around Collision Free prototype. The warning system and pre-emptive safety features are designed to help support the driver in an intuitive manner with minimal intervention. On a global level, Nissan is committed to build safer vehicles equipped with advanced safety technologies. In Japan, the company’s safety vision is to halve the number of traffic fatalities or serious injuries involving Nissan vehicles by 2015 compared with the level in 1995.
Things I would like to see in AppleTV soon AppleTV has been the pet project in Apple and the future for this interesting but too soon to market device is unknown, while Apple keeps cashing with the iphone the AppleTV team must be taking its time adding some small features. I know the potential this little device may has and in the hands of Apple its future is even brighter, but I would like to create the next big thing for Apple with the AppleTV, here are my ideas: 1. DVR.
4. AppleTV + Google TV Search.
This is the mandatory upgrade path for AppleTV. We all need and enjoy striping out those boring tv commercials. So AppleTV needs the DVR feature now.
A Google TV search that let your AppleTV finds any phrase, history moment, any information related to any movie, tv commercial, tv show and news information. Google TV Search should record all the tv voices and transform it to searchable text while Apple will provide TV programs information.
2. Universal Control Remote Apple should create a totally new Universal Remote Control technology. A LCD based remote control with just one key (on/off) and depending of what you are controlling keys will change.
3. LCD based Keyboard An on-screen keyboard with a LCD screen for easier and faster typing.
5. One Click Buy AppleTV will let you buy any music, movie or TV program only pressing a key. If you are watching any tv commercial and like the music, press the Buy Button and AppleTV will inmediately download it to Itunes, the same with TV Programs and Movies.

6. Viewer Review and Children Control AppleTV will let you review instantly any tv commercial, tv program and movie, just press the assigned button and your review will be sent to Apple Servers. This will help eliminate bad programs or any obscenity not suitable for children.
7. AppleTV Live Sensor. AppleTV will turn off or pause if there is not people watching the TV. This will save us a few bucks.
8. People Made TV Zone at Youtube. AppleTV will help you upload your personal TV projects and place it YouTube AppleTV Zone, this will provide people a real place to show their personal projects on TV.
9. Blu-Ray Player. Apple can add Blu-Ray just to make it more appealing to the general public. Negotiate a better price and provide two different flavors of the AppleTV, an entry level with all the features listed above and a high end one with Blu-Ray. I would like to see some improvement on Apple TV. Apple needs to polish this little box and turn it into a home media server with features that suit every member of the family, here is what I want on Apple TV as a Family Media Center:
1. Media Server If Apple adds more HD space and more processor power together with a multimedia version of Mac OS X Server that receive our iphone, ipod and digital camera content wirelessly and broadcast it to every single device on the house.
2.Instant Email Notification
programmed to broadcast to your iphone or ipod touch your schedule.
A home server that let you see your incoming emails in a widget while watching your favorite tv program.
7. Wireless Keyboard
3.Tags r US A tagging system that let you mark any given program and that the tagged program get recorded in the background and upload it to your ipod or iphone for your traveling pleasure.
4. Networkable DVR functions Record live TV, picture in picture, ad skipping and Parental Control, all of these features broadcast to every device at home.
5. A Learn More System: A direct connection to Wikipedia or WikipediaTV, something that let you understand what is being talked on tv, a reference system that update you as it goes, collecting words, cities, countries and personalities for an On Deman or for a later visit.
6. iCal Connect A widget system that provides you with schedul information, just like a pop window at the bottom of your tv screen. The ical system can be updated remotely or can be
To set all these a keyboard will be required, a small, lightweight and wireless keyboard must provides access to the Home Media Server and will let you interact with the Live Rating System.
8. Live Rating System LRS is a system that let you rate instantly the quality of the content, if is suitable for minors or young children or what is the real audience for this kind of program. It will be learning from people to people and then this information can be access on demand everytime you need it as a reference. To make this system work flawlessly Apple must collect information, not personal information, geographic location or people habits, just what people answer via the system. This will create an even better Parental Control. I have been drinking too much coffee, my closer starbucks may close soon, so I am drinking this coffee in advance. But I believe that with some of these features AppleTV could be a real winner and gives Tivo a run for its money.
TheFind.com to Launch iPhone based Mobile Shopping Application
TheFind: Where to Shop offers location-aware, comprehensive shopping search capabilities to find any product at nearby stores, and compare online and local prices while on the go

· Quickly and easily determine which retail outlets selling the desired items are closest in proximity. For every search, TheFind: Where to Shop graphically maps the locations of local brick and mortar stores that carry the desired item. Consumers can use the map to determine which location is the closest to them, saving time, money and gas. The application provides street addresses and phone numbers for each store location. To further refine search results, consumers can search by store type (i.e. department stores, boutiques, etc.). · Check in-store availability. Through integration with inventory look up capabilities offered by NearbyNow and Krillion, TheFind’s iPhone application enables shoppers to actually check the inventories of nearby stores to see if a particular item is in stock. Additionally, all listings for local retailers have phone numbers listed so the busy shopper can call to check in-stock status before venturing out. · Compare online and local pricing and obtain the very best deal. TheFind: Where to Shop puts a wealth of information at ones fingertips enabling a shopper at a store to assess prices from other local and online retailers. TheFind’s application alerts shoppers to various considerations such as items on sale and driving distance of retail outlets, so they can make purchasing decisions based on their individual preferences and criteria. Integration of online prices and local store information helps consumers select the best of the available options. Local search is one of the fastest growing areas of search engine technology, and integration with "brick and mortar" stores, and location-specific data to facilitate instore purchases is viewed as the "last mile" in search. A recent study found that 72% of consumers agree that online search engines are valuable in terms of researching offline purchases, and with an increasing number of consumers researching products online, then either purchasing those products online or from local retailers. With TheFind: Where to Shop, the possibilities are virtually limitless when it comes to increasing consumer foot traffic at brick-and-mortar store locations, and identifying and tracking shopping trends. “The iPhone's location awareness, faster downloads, lower price, and easy access to applications finally create mainstream
appeal for mobile local search,” said Michael Boland, Senior Analyst, The Kelsey Group. “As these new standards permeate the market, a consumer use case will quickly grow around finding things to do and buy locally. This will be especially resonant in the area of local shopping, and finding out exactly what stores have what promotions and what products on the shelf, right now.” About TheFind: Where to Shop A study done by a popular industry analyst firm earlier
this year on consumer behaviors related to mobile commerce surveyed 2,000 consumers in the US and the UK. When asked what features were most important to consumers, the study found that checking prices ranked second after checking store locations, and ranked above other activities such as checking delivery status via mobile phone, and receiving promotions and discounts. TheFind: Where to Shop is a “location aware” application that enables users to search for products they want to buy and then simply view relevant stores on interactive maps pinpointing local retail locations (identified by “store icons”) near their current physical locations (identified by a “location icon”). The location information is determined using GPS or other positioning methods of the iPhone platform. For more information, including a comparison on online prices and prices of stores in their area, the retailer’s address, phone number, product availability, and users simply need to click the various search options of the application. Users can also check inventory availability and reserve an item for instore pickup.
