Abundantrecess timesand classeswith alot of playtimeallowedforamoreflexiblelearning experiencewheretheynotonlyfocusedon studying,butgottoplayandhavefunwiththeir friends.

Children zipped around the playground, bouncing up and down like littleballs ofenergy. Thesestudents hadslides, tunnels,and climbing areasat theirdisposal, andthey werenot afraidto makeuse ofthem. Theimaginationsofthesechildrenweren’tjustlimitedtotheir schoolwork,but alsowent beyondthat. Manyhad aspirationsof what theywantedtobewhentheygrewup.

Theseblissful benefitsof youthdid notgo unnoticedby someelementaryschoolersastheyobservedtheir middleschoolupperclassmen.“Thebestthingabout elementaryschoolatDalatisthatitwon'tbeashardas middleschoolbecausewedon’thaveasmuchtestsand homework,”CarolTeh(4)pointedout.

Withtheendoftheirmiddleschoolyearsright around the corner, they applied all that they’d learned in class to their projects and aimed to finish on a high.
