MINDSEYE HAPPENINGS
MindsEye Plans Most Important Fund Raisers Two events seek to support the agency's mission
One of MindsEye's signature fund raising events has been totally re-imagined while the Beepball Tournament will be on as usual with COVID precautions: MINDSEYE DRIVE-IN GALA

MindsEye's 18th annual "gala" event will look different this year, but will be no less thrilling! Enjoy a screening of "Back To The Future" with Audio Description while themed cocktails and dining courses, created by Chef Liz Schuster of Tenacious Eats, are delivered right to the car. Chris Parrish will provide music as guests bid on unique items and experiences in an auction conveniently run on a mobile platform. The Drive-In will raise over 20 percent of MindsEye’s annual operating budget. These vital funds will open doors of opportunity, accessibility and connection for Greater St. Louis community members who are blind and visually impaired. This event will be attended by many influential individuals, organizations and citizens dedicated to supporting MindsEye's mission and vision.

ULTIMATE BEEPBALL TOURNAMENT
Grab friends or co-workers and compete in the Ultimate BeepBall Tournament on July 17. The event raises awareness and funds for MindsEye’s BeepBall program, including educational demonstrations and MindsEye’s own nationally competitive BeepBall team, the Gateway Archers. (Location TBD)
Described by athletes with a visual disability as “a dream come true,” BeepBall is an adaptive form of baseball that allows athletes of all visual abilities to play together. All BeepBall players are blindfolded, except for the sighted pitcher and outfield spotters. They are guided by sound - the beeping ball, buzzing bases and cues from the pitcher.
COVID precautions will be observed and participation will be limited to 16 teams broken into morning (8 a.m. and noon) and afternoon (1 to 5 p.m.) tournaments.
