The Orangerie & Lawn Our 18th century Orangerie in the grounds of Dalkeith Country Park, is our pride and joy. It is a beautiful setting for the two of you to say your vows while your family and friends watch closely from its surrounding lawn. This historic external building can then seamlessly adapt to cater for your drink’s reception, where you and your guests can enjoy some fizz, canapes, and conversation. The Orangerie can hold its own, as it is beautiful in its own right, or you have the option of adding those personal touches through your choice of decor, flowers, and music. This wonderful space also provides a faultless backdrop for those treasured photos.

We can’t imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. We were looked after so well and loved every minute of our special day.
The Kitchen
The Kitchen is our gorgeous light-filled restaurant with stunning views of Dalkeith Country Park, the River Esk and the historic Orangerie. Old sits perfectly alongside new here where exposed brickwork meets modern zinc and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. It’s a beautiful space where even our tables tell a story with whimsically curated Buccleuch family collectables beneath the glass. At the Kitchen we love our food, so you won’t be surprised to hear that we have different options depending on what suits best. Choose from a traditional three course menu or a more relaxed BBQ-style buffet. If needed, our chefs can suggest some unique twists to ensure your wedding menu includes all the elements you love. A wedding would not be a wedding without some dancing! After a quick, unobtrusive turnaround the space is adapted to create ample space for your musical entertainment, as well as some crazy guest dancing, all within close proximity of the evening buffet and bar.

Good to knows: We host weddings between May to September to make the most of the Scottish weather, but can accomodate you outside of these months if you wish. Our capacities are 90 for the day and 120 for the evening. You have the option to spend the whole day with us or choose to get married elsewhere and then join us for the meal and evening reception. Restoration Yard and Dalkeith Country Park are open to the public during the day and as such we cannot offer exclusivity before 5pm. Dogs are welcome at your wedding too!
