In the Jungle
Tigers like to be able to see everything around them. Like all cats they can see and hear very well. That’s important for hunting when quick reactions are necessary.
The biggest cat in the world The Bengal Tiger
A tiger mum raises her cubs by herself. She feeds them and cuddles them and makes sure her curious babies are safe. When her cubs are a few months old the tiger mum shows them how to hunt.
A tiger like Shir Khan is actually a cat. But he’s much bigger and more dangerous than cats we have at home.

In the background you can see a tiger’s footprint - can you see how big it is?
This is how tigers drink: with their rough tongue they scoop up the water into their mouth. That can sound very noisy - like slurping. Have you watched a cat drink?

Mogli-Tipp Keep your Shir Khan sticker safe here you’ll find him on Mogli cereal packets.
Like house cats, tigers clean their fur with their tongue. But they also like to go for a swim.
How many animals can you spot on these two pages? Some are hiding very well. If you look carefully you’ll discover them.
To start the day like a a tiger you need to have good breakfast. Khan Mogli suggests the Shir ur favourite power breakfast: mix yo with milk or muesli, flakes or crunchy d some fresh natural yoghurt and ad or apple pieces. fruit - try sliced bananas
Panthers like Baghira also belong to the big cat family. When he purrs everything is fine. But if he’s angry he growls or even roars.
Yummy!

Fun to Make
Balu Mask
Make a Balu mask! 1 Carefully cut out the bear‘s head. Don‘t forget the eyes and the mouth. 2 Make two holes at the side of the face using the marks given. 3 Now you can colour in your mask or stick on little pieces of crepe paper. 4 Then fasten an elastic band through the two holes - make sure it is long enough for the mask to be comfortable to wear.
