Worldwide, thousands of young people are
dance4life youth council 2011-2013
getting into action to stop HIV and AIDS. Let’s hear what some of you are doing…
Meet Fania, aged 18, agent4change, Russia…
The dance4life youth council for 20112013 is up and running! An amazing 15 countries are now represented: 15 agents4change advising dance4ilfe on all aspects of the dance4life concept. As I write this, the training for the new youth council members is taking place in the UK. A week of discussions, learning, growing, preparing and, of course, having fun! So, good luck to the new members and a big THANK YOU to last year’s youth council members for your commitment and input throughout the year!
Evelyn, aged 18, Argentina… …and Winnie, agent4change, Uganda.
"I am an active health promotor, within dance4life and other projects that address the same issues. I participate in the Youth Network on Health, where we offer cultural activities by integrating content on sexual and reproductive health and HIV prevention. It makes me feel useful to promote the issues, and so to increase the awareness of young people. I think that peer education, from youth to youth, is very successful because young people are interested in joining these activities and to be trained as health promoters."
