Dance Like a Girl
apparently they do let women morris dance.
We never wanted permission.
Greenham Common needs to be a more popular mass dance. It is easy to learn, brings in all kinds of dancers, and even audience members! Also the links to strong women can never be a bad thing. Thank you Lizzie Dripping, and Ely and Littleport Riot!

What am I reading? Hello there, I thought I should welcome you personally to this little project of mine! Dance Like a Girl is a zine edited by myself and aimed in the direction of people within the morris. It will be fairly female oriented, or at least this one is, I created it all myself and I am unapologetically female (if you cannot tell), however I would prefer the focus to be on morris generally. Bring to the table new ideas, and highlighting some things which aren’t exactly morris but related enough (for example gigs, history, and breweries). The foundation of this publication comes from my existing love of zine culture, and from the ridiculous amount of artwork I create anyway. zines are self-published works allowing the author to share his or her art, ideas and opinions to like minded people. It would be lovely for people to join in! The more diverse the writers are the more interesting this will be!!

This is not a reason to drink at 10am. I think face paint is enjoyable to wear on a hot day. I value my knees. I can be completely trusted with a stick. I know exactly what I am doing. I think the band needs more triangle.
Grass makes a perfect dancing surface, almost as good as gravel or cobbles! I have never questioned why I started this hobby.
Thank you, See you next time.
