What we do & Who we are • • • •

Co-ordinate, develop and communicate a public programme of arts and culture for University Engage in research projects especially around impact areas such as performances and exhibitions Contribute to student engagement through supporting the development of student societies Contribute to employability agenda in creative industries through opportunities such as internships, volunteering and mentoring for students with local and regional organisations • Lead on certain University events and festivals • Deliver Arts & Culture public lecture series

• Engage in research projects especially around impact areas such as performances and exhibitions Good News / Recent Successes • New Arts & Culture website with 2,700 visitor every month • Lead on exetreme imagination (children’s literature festival) with over 5000 people engaged • Successfully embedded music into Arts & Culture Team and managed rehousing of music office from Knightly to Cornwall House • Nominated for Professional Services Awards as Team of the Year for lead role in Children in Need South West event • Re imagined music programme at the Great Hall with acts such as Newton Faulkner, Billy Bragg, Bambyshambles and Kaiser Chiefs

Develop the Streatham Campus as a Sculpture Park for South West Develop a Festival of Ideas in partnership with Grand Challenges Establish an annual high quality lectures series with key figures from culture Establish Exetreme imagination as the premier children’s’ literature festival in the UK Increase levels of external funding into the Arts & Culture Team Assist in the development of an employability programme for the creative undergraduates/graduates in partnership with employability and Exeter City council • Further develop the professional music programme at the Great Hall
