The Deggendorf Institute of Technology

Cool Campus

Faculties and Courses

Technology Centres

Our campus in Deggendorf is based around a modern, central courtyard with water features complete and a hovering deck (see p2), where staff and students enjoy the relaxed atmosphere whilst having lunch, socializing, revising or just hanging-out. A range of events are held in the campus courtyard every year, with the largest being our popular summer open-air music festival.

DIT currently has 16 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate courses distributed among 5 faculties (see p17 for a list of faculties).

DIT‘s work in pioneering research is the reason for many collaborations with both local and international business and industry. This research is undertaken by staff and students in the labs of our seven technology centres dotted around Deggendorf, often with the support of additional research partners throughout Europe.

Most importantly, all 5 faculties and all service centres for our 5000+ students are based on our compact campus, creating an open, friendly and communicative enviroment among staff, students and professors. Of course, all faculties and facilities have wheelchair access. Turn to p12 to read details about our high academic standards.

Patricia Montes - Peru BA Tourismus Management

For me, studying International Management has given more colour to my life! The International Office and all other contact people have always made me feel welcome, their doors were always open. International Management truly is a hands on programme in which “learning by doing” is at the forefront. Some modules in my consecutive master course were in German, which really helped me to become fluent .. the perfect basis for starting my career!

10

Anna Schuster - Australia BA International Management

Myron De La Paz - USA BA International Management

There are so many multicultural students here and this makes you feel like you’re not the only one away from home. The University shows a lot of support for their international students and there is always something to do, whether it be a trip to Berlin or to the Oktoberfest in Munich with international student clubs. Studying International Management offers so many other opportunities and the International Office is always there to help you decide what path you want to take.

Anja Coenen - The Netherlands BA International Management & MA Stategic International Management

During my stay in Deggendorf .. I got the opportunity to meet, study together with students from many different countries (Spain, France, Ireland, Brazil, Netherlands, China, Nigeria etc. ) with various cultural backgrounds and I learnt many new things from them. Besides this I was also introduced to the interesting Bavarian culture, language and people. Deggendorf has helped me significantly to shape up my career / future and has played a vital role in what I am now.

... I am looking forward to my new friends coming to visit me in Australia so I can show them around my home.

... I have really enjoyed my time in Deggendorf. I have made so many new friends from places all over the world! Who could have imagined that I would meet some great people while having the opportunity to visit the Bavarian Forest and many nearby cities and places?

The Careers Service was particuarly helpful in supporting me to find my perfect work experience, as it has a large database of willing and potential employers, which made it easy for me to find an internship in the Mandarin Oriental München. I also worked for several years as a university student assistant which enabled me to get a very useful insight into German work ethics. ... Additionally, Deggendorf‘s location is a plus point as the motorway and train infrastrucures are good so travelling to other towns and cities is easy.

Kishore Kanade - India Msc Electrical Engineering and IT

I sure am convinced that I made the right decision when I chose to study in this charming town, and I am more than happy to boast Deggendorf as a place that I can call home... The International Management programme is, as the name implies, international. From our healthy supply of exchange students coming in from all the world‘s corners every semester to our professors, who have had a great deal of international experience to the host of guest lecturers flying in from the States every now and then, the programme has sure lived up to its name.

Quality Standards

Academic Excellence

National Code of Conduct

.What to Widen Your Range?

DIT ranks among the top universities of applied sciences in Germany. All undergraduate and postgraduate courses are fully accredited to international standards either by ASIIN e.V or FIBAA.

DIT follows the `National Code of Conduct for German Universities Regarding International Students.´ The guiding principle of this code is to grant international students the same rights, service and assistance as are available to German or EU students.

Additionally, we offer various nonGerman language courses from beginner level A1 upwards, e.g. Chinese, French, Italian, Portugese, Russian, Spanish and also Business/Technical English (to higher proficiency levels).

ASIIN e.V. is an independent, approved accreditation organisation that nationally and internationally accredits bachelor and master degrees. It is the only accreditation agency in the fields of Engineering, Natural Sciences, Computer Sciences and Mathematics. FIBAA means `Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation.´It has accessed and awarded a seal of approval to all of our courses in the business faculty.
