Internship:
The Terra Mont Way project is a high end modern residential project. I had the pleasure to work on this project throughout my internship. During the project I was able to space plan different rooms of the beautiful home and assist with the install of a variety of materials, furniture, and decor. Lastly, I assisted with staging the home for photography.

Overview of Study
SASH: Serenity
Student Work:
Serenity provides patient-centered care by using outdoor therapeutic spaces. Some strategies we developed are to make the environment more serviceable for both staff and patients. As well to have more staff to patient and patient to patient interaction. To help patients take on a more active role in their healing process; we want to design spaces that allow for different healing, active, and therapeutic activities both indoor and outdoor. We want the interiors to reflect the sense of tranquility with the help of the material selection that incorporates nature.

ADOLESCENT PROPOSED DESIGN
UNIT
Some design considerations we considered to improve in the adolescent unit were to add more spaces for staff, for example, a break room/lounge area and restrooms. This space is not only for the patients but for the employees as well. The staff should have an area for them to escape and be able to relax, so they feel comfortable in their work environment. Another important consideration we wanted to implement in the adolescent unit was incorporating the art walls into this unit. The art walls are all around the rest of the campus, but the adolescent unit is completely separate from the rest of the campus and we thought it was important to incorporate the art walls for them, so they can express themselves, personalize their space, and to provide them with a therapeutic activity that will help them take an active role in their healing process.

SPIRITUAL CENTER
PROPOSED DESIGN
We wanted to design the Spiritual Center to be as versatile as possible, for it to accommodate all religions. The spiritual center is a summer building just like the adolescent unit. Instead of using bright colors we went with a more muted color palette of summer, to be able to give a calm and serene atmosphere for when the patients come in to worship. We designed two individual worship/prayer rooms to give the patients the option if they want a more intimate private place to worship.

This project was based on a design that was designed during junior year. The objective was to design a multi-purpose building meant to bring in the younger generation with the use of technology. The new objective was to use the original concept of "Shifting" and design a space that would be both practical and inviting. The focus was the social space which is meant for people to gather, engage, and interact with each other. The different materials and the way they are placed throughout the project allow for different spaces to be created within a big open space, so everyone can find a place for them. The revamped design is now functional, user-friendly, and appealing.
