C O N C E P T
As I wish to peruse a career within visual merchandising, I decided to play with the main focus of VM (designing shop windows to entice people in). The overall concept of my branding was to create a mystical ‘look through the glass’ window to discover something new and Exciting but also to get your imagination flowing (something retailers aim to do Daily).

The business card encompass everything from the imagination the mystical background pulls you into the ‘window’ whilst the back of the card is plain in contract allowing more impact Towards the front. The highlight of the V and M draws your eyes in to what I do simple yet effective.

I enclose/attach my CV for your consideration. As you can see from my CV, I have achieved a degree in Fashion communication and promotion from Nottingham Trent University. I have a strong visual eye for detail, up and coming tends and excellent knowledge of the fashion industry and Ted Baker’s competitors. Combined with my previous work experiences within the visual merchandising industry from over a number of years I have learnt the foundations of how the industry works. I am used to working within a large team with excellent communication and time management skills, using equipment safely, making sure in store looks enticing and a drive to develop my skills. Over the summer period of 2015 I took a brief break from work experience to work within a well known leisure company. To create a piece of moving imagery based around the word hair-dryer (To make Something out of nothing.) All props were made from objects we found lying around our flats- with a bit of glue, glitter and spray paint we came to the Decision to subvert the stereotype around and create something more Sinister. With references to Hitchcock and 1940’s darlings the depressed housewife is getting ready for a night out until SUDDENLY she drops the dryer‌
