February 2 - World Wetlands Day 2 February each year is World Wetlands Day. This day marks the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on 2 February 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar on the shores of the Caspian Sea. The events held on this occasion in the whole world is to focus public attention on the conservation and wise use of wetlands and the resources they offer.

March 21 - World Forestry Day

March 22 - World Water Day
International World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of fresh water

Aprilie 7 – World Health Day
World Health Day is celebrated on 7 April every year to mark the anniversary of the founding of WHO in 1948. The Day provides an opportunity for individuals in every community to get involved in activities that can lead to better health.
April 22 – World Earth Day Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, on which events are held worldwide to demonstrate support for environmental protection.

May 22 – International Day for Biological Diversity
The United Nations has proclaimed May 22 The International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues.
May 24 – European Day of Parks
The European Day of Parks takes place on and around May 24th of each year. It aims at bringing people closer to nature and raising public awareness on the importance of the natural beauty preserved in protected areas and the importance of conservation and sustainable management of those places.

JUNE
June 5 – World Environment Day
World Environment Day ('WED') is celebrated every year on 5 June to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972. 'WED' is hosted every year by a different city with a different theme and is commemorated with an international exposition in the week of 5 June.
June 17 – World day to combat desertification
The World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought is a United Nations observance each June 17. Its purpose is to highlight ways to prevent desertification and recover from drought. Each annual celebration has a different theme.

July 11 – World Population Day
World Population Day is an annual event, observed on July 11 every year, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989. It was inspired by the public interest in Five Billion Day on July 11, 1987 approximately the date on which the world's population reached five billion people.

August 12 – International Youth Day
International Youth Day (IYD) is an awareness day designated by the United Nations. The first IYD was on 12 August 2000. The purpose of the day is to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding an endangered demographic. It is meant as an opportunity for governments and others to draw attention to youth issues worldwide. Concerts, workshops, cultural events, and meetings involving national and local government officials and youth organizations take place around the world in honor of International Youth Day.

September 22 – World Car Free Campaign
Every year on or around 22 September, people from around the world get together in the streets, intersections, and neighbourhood blocks to remind the world that we don't have to accept our cardominated society.
September 20 – Clean Up the World Campaign Held annually during the third weekend of September, Clean Up the World is a community-based, environmental campaign that inspires and empowers communities around the globe to clean up, fix up and conserve their environment.

First Monday of October – World Habitat Day
World Habitat Day is observed every year on the first Monday of October throughout the world. It was officially designated by the United Nations and first celebrated in 1986. The purpose of the day is to reflect on the state of our cities and towns and the basic human right to adequate shelter.
October 16 – World HabiOctober October 16 – World Food Day World Food Day is celebrated every year around the world on 16 October in honor of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. The day is celebrated widely by many other organisations concerned with food security, including the World Food Programme.

November - World Vegan Month
World Vegan Day is an annual event celebrated on 1 November, by vegans around the world.
November 6 – International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict The United Nations’ International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict is annually held on November 6. It aims to educate people about the damaging effects of war and armed conflict on the environment.

December 5 – International Volunteer Day
International Volunteer Day (IVD) - is an international observance designated by the United Nations since 1985. It offers an opportunity for volunteer organizations and individual volunteers to make visible their contributions - at local, national and international levels.
December 11 – International Volunteer Day December 11, "International Mountain Day", was designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 2003. I M D is an opportunity to create awareness about the importance of mountains to life.
