Holmatro RFID
17
Manage your equipment the easy way!
Holmatro RFID has been developed to help you manage your rescue equipment quicker and easier than ever before. This new and free of charge online database system takes a large administrative burden away from you and allows you to focus on your most important task: saving lives. Holmatro RFID incorporates Radio Frequency IDentification technology using radio waves to transmit information. This proven technology does not interfere with existing communication systems. All Holmatro rescue tools, pumps, hoses and lifting bags are standard equipped with RFID tags and linked to the online database before leaving the factory.
Holmatro’s RFID web portal: see www.holmatro.com/rescue for the link.
Reading a tool’s RFID tag with bluetooth wireless reader. Before leaving the factory all RFID tagged Holmatro tools are programmed and added to the online database containing useful information about each specific product.
How does it work?
1. Add equipment to your inventory Add multiple tools to your online inventory in seconds with the help of an RFID reader or by entering the article and serial numbers from the product label. Specify their exact location up to 5 levels, e.g. country, region, fire brigade, vehicle, location in vehicle.
Holmatro RFID
18
2. Find and add equipment information Each piece of equipment has its own product information page in the RFID database, containing various details. Here you and/or your Holmatro dealer can add any information you like, including service information such as a tool’s last inspection date.
2. 3. Find and add related documents Each piece of equipment has its own related documents page in the RFID database, containing an overview of all relevant files available (e.g. user manuals, photos, videos, etc.). Here you and/or your Holmatro dealer can also add personal notes and upload service reports.
3.
4. Send product based (service) inquiries Send product based service or advice inquiries to your Holmatro dealer with the possibility to attach photos or documents further explaining your question(s).
4.
5. Edit tag information Add your own details to the basic information programmed on the RFID tag of each Holmatro rescue tools. This basic information includes model name, year of production, article number and serial number.
5.
6. Database search Search your inventory with the help of advanced database search options, e.g. generate a list of all equipment you own or all equipment stored in one of your rescue vehicles.
6.
Holmatro RFID
19
What about existing equipment? Holmatro also offers a solution for your existing equipment without RFID tags or other assets which you would like to add to your online inventory. Retrofit RFID tag kits are available to tag all existing Holmatro (or other brand) equipment. These new blank tags can be programmed through Holmatro’s RFID portal with the help of an RFID reader.
Ideal tool for service Holmatro’s RFID database also acts as the one central place where you can find all important service information about your Holmatro rescue equipment. Your dealer can add last and next inspection dates, for instance, and upload service reports.
Safe to use Holmatro RFID is a password protected system. Every user receives personal login details. Furthermore, the system works with unique RFID product tags and unique Holmatro rescue equipment serial numbers as found on the product labels. All this information is required to get access to your personal online inventory.
Advantages for you • Easy online equipment management - no more paper work - can be used by anyone with a computer, internet access and the right information (unique login details and product serial numbers) • Free of charge use of Holmatro RFID portal and database - no need to buy expensive equipment management software - the purchase of an RFID reader is optional as the system also works manually (by filling out article and serial numbers from the product label)
• Includes many useful functions - add equipment to your inventory - find / add equipment information - find / add related documents - send product based (service) inquiries - edit RFID tag information - search your inventory • RFID tags inside tools, under protective cover control handle - tag cannot get damaged
