- planning of Renaissance district Supervision: PAOLO VENTURI

Location: Ferrara, Italy Scale : L Chronology: 6th Semester Ferrara is one of the few city whose the old town was entirely included into the World Heritage list of Unesco. The Project area is in a close contact with both the medieval brick walls and the river that runs through the city. The redevelopment of both the entire site and of some buildings offers the opportunity not only to rediscover the value of many historic buildings but also to study the relationship between contemporary architecture and renaissance one: a fascinating reflections on how to address urban and environment sustainability in the historical centers.

- Wandering shelter Supervision: Marco D’Ambrogio

Location: Everywhere Scale : S Chronology: 10th Semester When it comes to shelter it should usefull to design something cheap and quick to built up. Thinking on the need of travellers this project’s aim is to mix the self-made shleter with the chance to travel around the world. This proposal tries to analyse the space of living during the trip in extreme condition as well. It needs just wood and adventure spirit.

- Datong twin towers Supervision: PLASMA STUDIO Architects

Location: Datong, china Scale : L Chronology: 4th Semester The given typology of two towers above a rectangular four storey podium–a common typology in China–is a challenge. The two towers must suggest two separate programmatic functions; while the podium communicates a unified complex. Our design emerges from this ambiguity: proposing a building that is derived from access flows and the surrounding urban landscape.

- Taichung’s BreathSupervision: Plasma Studio Architects

Location: Taichung, China Scale : L - XL Chronology: 4th Semester Taichung is one of the most dynamic cities of China. Through the con-tinuous economic development of the urban fabric it got saturated with new construction depriving the city of its usual rural appearance. The emergence of the housing market and the consequent response in terms of overbuilding has meant that citizenship harbored the need to get more green spaces. The park designed gives a breath to the packed city and allows people to relax.

- Ageing Catalyst Supervision: Autonomus Project

Location: Firenze, Italy Scale : M Chronology: 9th Semester World population is getting older and older. We should rethink how design spaces within differente generation could meet and exchange experiences. This project of a thermal pool offer the insight to mix play and healt restoration joining different ages in on building.

- Monzuno’s Sport Center Supervision: UNIFE

Location: Monzuno, Italy Scale : S Chronology: 8th Semester The municipality of Monzuno has the need to have a sports center. Funding for this project appeared to be much reduced. Hence design has been careful to respect the budget provided. Monzuno is a mountain town that during the winter season reaches very low temperatures. The project uses wood as the main material and studied how it is possible to minimize energy waste. This project has been drawn up to the executive boards. It were studied court system that provide light as much as possible to avoid the use of electricity and all interior finishes including insulation and furnishings had been chosen according to reach the best energy performance.

- Petropolis in Ross Island Supervision: Royal Danish Academy
