Caracas at Night | 2010 Thesis Project
C
aracas at Night is a photographic journal about graffiti and the city. She started this project, almost by accident in 2008 and now it is a project that has no end.
“ I have always liked Caracas at Night; I like the absence of traffic, of noise, of suffocating heat.’’ There is a peace in the night that balances the chaos of the daytime. Of course this “peace” is deceptive and fake. It is there where her photography stops, in the absolute contrast between the beautiful and the awful she creates a new story as if she was in the frame. Adriana’s objective is to create a new story for the viewer, a new adventure. There is no answer and no solution in them, only an invitation to be curious, to interact and to experiment. The city is an infinite network of stories and spaces that can be redefined by each and every one. Caracas, far away from been a jail, is a playground for the mind.

Venezuela Nature and Mysticism Client Instituto Nacional de Parques, INPARQUES
Project Outline Document the landmark of three national parks and one natural monument with the objective to promote national tourism towards each region.
T
he initial image that comes to mind when reading a project outline about landscape photography is the most expected one: beautiful landscapes, proper of tourism photography. But, as Adriana took her first guided walks throughout each state, she found a cultural component that was as impressive as the landscape itself. It is then when Adriana shifts the photographic intention towards the landscape as a space of cultural activity and exchange. As you travel through Venezuela, the weight of the mystic becomes more obvious and so does the tight relationship it holds within nature. In this project the artist’s intention is directed to reect, not only the beauty of each place, but also the cultural activity and human presence in each one.
