AIT celebrates its incoming first year students through our Scholarship of Excellence Programme. This is in recognition of the 500+ points they acheive in their leaving certificate examinations.

Scholarships aim to congratulate students on their academic endeavour to show that we support them on their journey. Scholarships are awarded to entrants on full-time undergraduate programmes at higher certificate (level 6) Ordinary Degree (level 7) or Hons Degree (level 8) programmes.


The Sunday Times Good University Guide - Institute of Technology of the Year 2018

Recognising our status as an academic centre of excellence AIT has just been awarded the prestigious “Sunday Times Institute of Technology of the Year” 2018. We moved up the ranking and finished 8th this year, our highest ranking in the league table made up of Universities and Institutes. AIT’s strength in identifying areas of skills shortage and working with businesses to improve links between enterprise and academia, were among the reasons we were awarded the title.


Your day at AIT Friday 20 (10am-2pm) & Saturday 21 October (10am-1pm)

1. Talks on AIT programmes Information on our programmes will be covered in each of the relevant subject talks. • • • • •

First talks start at 10.30am, last talks starts 30 mins before closing. Each talk lasts approx 30 minutes. Attend as many as you want! Information stands for the courses are located near the talk venues. You can pick up leaflets and chat with lecturers on the stands.

2. Display stands Programme display stands and student services information can be found in the International Arena. •

Our student support services are the people who make our Institute tick. They form a big part of college life and you can meet representatives from areas like admissions, fees, access, etc, so you can ask questions on a one-to-one basis.

3. Campus Tours The following tours are available at regular intervals throughout the day; Campus Tours • This is a guided tour which will show you the highlights of the AIT campus. • Tours will depart every 30 mins between 10am with the last tour taking place 30 mins before closing. AIT Sport Arena Tours Tours are available at regular intervals throughout the day. Ask at the AIT gym stand for tours. Library Tours A tour of the library will be covered in the campus tours

4. Places to eat on Campus The main campus restaurant is open throughout the day for hot food, drinks and snacks etc.


Fees Office

The fees office provides advice to students that is relevant for them, and answers queries about SUSI and the grant process.

Dept of Lifelong Learning

Discover a range of academic programmes delivered in a flexible manner ranging from Business, Science (including Social Science) and Engineering.

Admissions Office

The admissions office is responsible for the processing of applications to undergraduate programmes.

Guidance Counsellors > Once checked in with Dan

Seery our student recruitment officer, you can collect your lunch voucher for use on the day in our restaurant.
