EDGY ELEGANCE

Edgy Elegance is a collection of both fabrics and wallpapers inspired by the beauty that lives within the spirit of the Renaissance Era, classic motifs of ancient times as well as modern day Urban Neo-Expressionism. This collection refrences a sense of timeless tradition and class, yet in a hip and updated way. A harmonic juxtaposition is created between these contrasting styles allowing a space to feel regal and classic yet simultaneously bestowing the boldness of modern day expression.

These prints are intended to be used in a variety of interior design markets. Ancient Mythology and Classicism have long inspred architecture and design. Arguably the style has never really gone away, interpreted in new ways through each decade. Current trends point towards a fresh and more playful take on classicism with refrences to traditional busts, geometric forms as well as literal interpretations of the theme such as columns and refrences to nature. The effects of lockdown have also accelerated an already collective desire to bring nature into homes.

All of the designs from this collection were drawn by hand, digitally motified, printed onto a varity of fabrics and wallpaper and then applied to interiors.

FIBR 276: DIGITAL SURFACE DESIGN

Designing for a ballroom and ballroom prefuction carpet, this project was inspired by the concept of creating an abstracted design while refrencing classic motifs. The pre-function space is more simple leading up to an exciting ballroom design full of movement and color. Each design consists of abstracted images and drawings of crown molding, marbled fabric, digital drawings and scanned collages.

FIBR 276: DIGITAL SURFACE DESIGN

This project is a collection of repeated patterns in both half drop and straight repeat. This collection of designs focusses on a modern approach to more tradional designs. Often the designs are inspired from or depict crown molding, organic line work and floral motifs. These designs transform a space into something that is updated yet traditional and elegant at the same time.

FIBR 160: DRAWING FOR PRINT AND PATTERN

The following project was all about layering differnt media creating an overall textured and engaging piece. Being inspired by organic lines and movement the following pieces show a change from color to negative space with line work helping guide the eye. An assortmant of materials including paint, ink, colored pencil, collage, hot glue, cotton, sharpie, charcoal, spraypaint, leaves, makup and glitter were used.
