RURAL CORPORATE CAMPUS Owner: The Institutes Location: Malvern, Pennsylvania Size: 40 acres Status: multi-phase, 2008-2015 This corporate campus situated in the bucolic horse country of Willistown Township required a complete rethinking and redesign of their aging landscape. Danilo Maffei created a multi-phased master plan to improve aesthetics, reduce maintenance costs and enhance the sustainability of the cultivated gardens throughout the property. This included driveway entrances, parking areas, building entrances, walking trails and outdoor dining spaces.

GLOBAL HEADQUARTERS CAMPUS Owner: Dansko, Inc. Location: West Grove, Pennsylvania Size: 8 acres Status: construction completed 2009 This global leader in ergonomic footwear established their headquarters in southern Chester County in 1998 and within the span of 10 years built three buildings on their campus, the last one being LEED速 Gold rated, thanks in part to the design of the landscape. Danilo Maffei (at W.D. Wells & Associates) developed plans for all three buildings, incorporating elements key to their corporate identity. Natural beauty, art, personal well-being and civic and environmental responsibility are themes threaded through all of the gardens.

When the Education Department decided to move the student practicum gardens from the dormitories where the public could not see them to full view in the gardens proper, management turned to Danilo Maffei at W.D. Wells & Associates, Inc. to adapt a portion of the Idea Garden as the permanent home of the newly-named “Student Exhibition Garden�.

CLUBHOUSE RENOVATION & AMENITIES EXPANSION Owner: Llanerch Country Club Location: Havertown, Pennsylvania Size: 1.75 acres Status: construction completed 2013 Maffei Landscape Design was engaged as a direct consultant as part of a multidisciplinary team to reimagine and redesign the 100 year old clubhouse which had been modified from time to time without a cohesive plan. Danilo Maffei offered a vision of turning underutilized land wedged between the course and the parking lot to become a place of hospitality, engagement and enjoyment while employing best management practices for resource conservation and protection.
