So here we are, let’s ask the big one first of all, what made you start ‘session?’
I think personally I was fed up with the arcade games that involved skateboarding, I needed that realism to return to the videogame industry, yeah sure it isn’t perfect, but it’s superb.. even if the missions can be a pain cool cool, you into the fancy tricks as well as the flick it system?
yeah man, the system makes it unique to getting the tricks nailed, the only thing it’s missing is mini ramp skills, I know the developers are hard at work doing so, so give it time. I’m looking forward to ripping some pipe when the time comes
They are doing a fair amount of DLC, so the community is happy?
I’m 50/50 on that one, there is a lot of positive comments out there, but like everything else you can’t please everyone. I’m happy about what has been released, especially the school map DLC. That was rad man, the scene was killer with all the spots! loved it!
so what else is out there?
well let us talk about the 2 million players playing across the globe, being verified on steam deck, Paris, school, the Chris Cole pool DLC, not to mention the abandoned mall, they also have updated the ‘dev blog’ that’s now on #14 post I believe
Nice, so if there was a ‘go to trick’ of yours, what would it be?
I would most likely say its the fs flip on the southward train station 10 stair set, the roll up is clean and decent, some are super bumpy and sketchy as hell, but it’s so rad when you slam blots and roll away clean, so sick
What about any known communities?
Oh yeah defiantly! I’m involved with Cal2K and his Discord group, all nice people. I believe there was a sweet 16 youtube channel that released a video on youtube created by ‘EaSkateVideo’, that’s worth a look if you get yourself online!
So if there was any advice for new ‘SESSION’ beginning skaters, what would you suggest? bail, because you will do it so much! figure out the replay system as soon as possible and then just adventure, there is so much to do, lot’s of gear in the stores dotted around the city, there is so much I don’t want to bore you either you know, just play and have fun
Anything that really sticks out at you?
Yeah, actually there is. The item dropper is a good tool to use out on the streets, lovely amount of rails to get your hands on, put them in rad little lines or put them around for gaps and the like, always good fun experimenting
What is your go to set up?
Oh you know I’m rolling with some of the Heroin Skateboards gear, rolling’ on British brands. Shame they haven’t added ‘Death Skateboards, Milk or Blueprint’. Was a mad amount of those in the late 00's so they need to be added as soon as possible in my opinion.
