I n t ro d u c t i o n Staffing Industry Metrics is a recruitment Business Intelligence system measuring performance and financial management from branch level to the boardroom. Working from branch level up means we measure metrics that matter to staffing professionals tasked with operating a successful Profit-Centre. Be you an owner operator, CFO, CEO or Team Manager, the expectation is the same. Balancing volume and value of performance alongside what needs to be spent to make it all happen can be a tricky task. Often a range of factors need to be considered in unison before an informed decision can be reached and corrective action implemented. Getting that information in a timely manner is an even bigger challenge. We solve that problem. We put valuable insights at your fingertips, instantly create the reports you need, analyse the data to clarify your perspective then share the results with other stakeholders. Being able to back your decisions with facts you can demonstrate is a powerful tool to help build team knowledge and engagement. Your most valuable comparison is the Indexed Average. More about that later.

W h a t a re fi l t e r s Filters are used to identify the parameters of your business, such as Size, Location, Headcount, etc. When applied, the filters collect data with the same identity parameters meaning you will be compared against companies the same as or similar to your company. Use filter choices to define and refine your insights. The more specific you are when selecting options, the more enhanced your data insights will be. We recommend selecting your filter identity before applying comparison overlays.

You can never really know how good you are or what’s truly possible until you compare yourself against others doing the same things as you to achieve the same end goal. To help with this, we’ve provided a legend so you can measure whether you are a legend and what it takes to be ONE. Discover the benchmarks being set by your peers from the lowest performers to the highest achievers.

The default settings are common across all dashboards. Reports appear in a format that includes all participant data. This is great if you want to check out the overall industry trends but not the view to use when analysing and comparing your results. Data filters allow you to access the most useful comparisons available to your business by removing irrelevant segments. For example: Locations Filter – allows you to identify as a Single Location agency OR a Multi Locations enterprise. It’s common knowledge that the financial ratios are very different between the two. If you are a Single Location agency and you include Multi Location when comparing your results and setting goals , chances are you’ll be aiming for a threshold way below benchmark expectations.

D a s h b o a rd D e f a u l t s e t t i n g s Country Filter / Locations Filter/Headcount Filter: Active indicates a defined choice has been made. Inactive means no filters have been applied and all participant data will be included in comparisons. Refine your filter selections at the click of your mouse. Data resets instantly. Headcount filter, choose from: Up to 10 or 11 and over. When you choose Up to 10 you will be compared to all locations with a Headcount up to ten people whether they be a single location or one branch amongst many. The same applies to Headcount of 11+ , comparisons are against all same sized teams. Locations Filter: Choose from: Single Location Firms / Multi Location Firm or All. By selecting All, your data will be compared against all companies in single and multi location categories.

M a n a g i n g D a t a Fi l e s What are filters and why use them? Data filters help you refine and define parameters when comparing your results against companies most like your own such as region, number of locations and headcount. As member numbers increase, so will the filter options. An industry specific filter is already available to the ICT sector. To start, select the date range you want to view on the report: 1. From the start of: Month/Year 2. To the end of: Month/Year. Next, decide the time increments you want to view. Click on Intervals: and select from the drop-down menu; monthly, quarterly, calendar or financial year, etc. Country Filter: Active means a choice has been made. In this case the default setting on your dashboard is your native Country and in your native currency. Location Filters: Single Location – defined as a stand alone business. Multiple Locations – defined as more than one location The default setting includes all participants. IMPORTANT: When analyzing your data, turn off the filter not appropriate to your business..

The data filters and functions are located at the top of each report
