Bandung as a creative city have some creative industries in fashion design, performing art and product design which increase tourism in Bandung itself. This building aimed to be a trigger for those industries. There are some programs to be proposed that will accommodate creative industries activity. The building programs are creative office / co-working space for creative industries, a hall for performing art activity and retail.
PROJECT #1 - academic project
CONTEXT
In urban scale context, the site is located in the middle of activity node network and green network. Thus, this project should be a new small node (dot) for connecting this missing link.

which connect the missing link in active node network in Bandung. This concept tries to define movement and activity that will occur on the site. Pedestrian movement on the site can be defined according to site and context analysis. Activity can be defined as habits of people when coming to public space in Bandung such as skateboarding,
ing, and painting. After that public space and green space can be created to accommodate those activities. Then building mass can be made.
Inviting-narrow building mass makes people curious to pass this area through a green and commercial corridor.

CAMEO YOGYAKARTA - NETPAC FILM CENTER
Typology : COMMUNITY CENTER Mentor : INDAH WIDIASTUTI Cameo (n) : 1. a small part played by a well known actor in a film or play. 2. a piece of jewelry with raised design, usually in the shape of a woman’s head, on a background of different colour.
ISSUES privacy SOCIAL Yogyakarta is one art and culture developed city in Indonesia. One of the modern cultures that is growing rapidly is cinematography. It is characterized the growth of film production house (26 industries) and the growth of Film Festivals be held (10 events every year). However, there are not enough film facility to accommodate it. Sadly, there are 20 industries that have not had a decent film production facilities yet. Thus, The Network for The Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) along with Graha Layar Prima, PT work together to create a facility used for film production, appreciation, and education. This project is expected to be the trigger for the local industries to be more well known in the international scope. PROJECT #2 - academic project

BIG IDEA:
ALUN - ALUN’s CAMEO
“Alun-alun” is a common urban plaza in java and firstly developed in Yogyakarta. It becomes an identity of the city since Mataram Empire. “Alun-alun” will accommodate social, economy and culture activity. Therefore, it can be called as a soul of the city. People can be easily identified alun-alun with unique ambiance from the street vendor and iconic twin Beringin trees. This project will try to provide a new urban plaza in the developing area of Greater Yogyakarta at Sleman Regency (North of Yogyakarta city). This area is commonly known as an education district since there are 6 universities in this area. There are also a lot of commercial and office buildings in this area to accommodate student activity. In the future, this area is planned to be a business and education district. Thus, this project hopefully will be an urban plaza called as a ‘cameo’ of “alun-alun”. There have to be three components in this project adopted by components in “alun-alun” for bringing “alun-alun” ambiance in this project. Those are beringin tree, keraton/ palace and street vendors. All of the components being adopted with mixed metaphors approach. This approach tries to abstract the components from other objects. Then, those abstract will be changed with other components with same values.

URBAN ACU (FUN) CTURE PLAYSCAPE INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD in collaboration with: Prathito Andy Wisambodhi Karina Wiriadidjaja Muhammad Regy Septian Daniel Caesar Pratama Urban acu(fun)cture proposes an insertion of playing infrastructure into dead, unused footbridge in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. The interventions will accommodate local playing activity in respective footbridges spread throughout the city. The acupuncture will induce a new dimension of interactions of the people and the city. PROJECT #3 - competition project
URBAN ISSUES
OPPORTUNITIES
The city is known for numerous amount of creative communities focusing in various fields. Among them are sport/playing activity focused communities like skateboarding, parkour, golf, swimming, BMX, basketball, traditional games communities etc. They often organize several activities and events that correlate to their focus on the city’s lacking public spaces.
The dead footbridges (dotted) are located at strategic junctions throughout the city, this means inactive spaces are scattered and could be developed into a playscape that would give positive impacts to the local community. They would form a network of playscapes that spread throughout the city!
BIG IDEA : ONE DEAD FOOTBRIDGE + ONE L
FOOTBRIDGE as BASKET BALL COURT
FOOTBRIDGE as MINI GOLF COURSE
LOCAL PLAYING ACTIVITY =
U R B A N ACU(F UN)CTURE
From the conditions stated, our scheme is to propose one playable infrastructure at one footbridge. The acupuncture will rejuvenate and giving new meanings to dead footbridges and also making new public spaces for the current lacking condition. We inject a program of local playing interest to the respective dead footbridge. Given the scattered location of the footbridges, this scheme would pierce fun to dead urban realms. The network of footbridge playscapes will be scattered throughout the city, increasing the citizen index of happiness and could transform Bandung into the most playable city in the world!
FOOTBRIDGE as PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL
PILOT PROJECT :
SKY SKATING
Known for the city of the creative youth, street skateboarding activity’s widely spread throughout Bandung. Skateboarding communities are popping up, but unfortunately, the lack of city’s open public spaces prompts them to play on the city street. As the consequences, some people get disturbed by this activity while walking down the city street
The play sets will be based on what activity is commonly done by the community around the overpass such as mini golf sets, basketball court, swimming pool, etc. By designing based on common activity around the site directly or not, we also develop the communities around the site. For our pilot project, our footbridge will accommodate local skateboard community.

THE GREEN B O ( W ) LEVA R D SINAR MAS LAND - YOUNG ARCHITECT COMPETITION COMMERCIAL CATEGORY
BSD City aim to develop the Commercial Mixed-Use Development consist of Trade Center and Apartment with comprehensive approach including site planning, landscape and environmental sustainability to create a better community for Inter-modal District in BSD City located in the southern part of BSD City and right next t the Atmajaya University, Commuter Line, and Jakarta-Serpong Toll Road Plan. Besides, this district positioned to be the center of transportation as well as the gate of BSD City, residential - commercial development and public facilities such as bus station and commuter line station. This project will be the first area developed and as the front-line of business and commercial project in this district because located next to the Bus Station, Modern Market and Parking Space, which expected to interact in a dynamic commercial zone that will catalyze the development of other areas. in collaboration with: Dyah Ayu Pitaloka Florentina Anastasia Louisa Rebeka Panggabean Marsha Aldira PROJECT #4 - competition project

BIG IDEA:
GREEN BO[W]LEVARD
DESIGN PRINCIPLE
‘BOWL for people
‘BOWL’ for green corridor
‘BOWL’ for fresh air flow
‘BOWL’ for reducing urban heat island
Green Bo(w)levard is expected to respond to the high mobility issues in the inter-modal district by providing a static space to accommodate the dynamic pedestrian movement. However, Green Bo(w)levard designed as the center of the building mass and the knot of pedestrian movement to avoid a public spice provided not vibrant. This decision makes the apartment and the trade center users can access either visually or physically to the Green Bo(w)levard that attracted them to enhance the public space. In addition, Trade Center and Apartment require a healthy environment as a respond of the climate in BSD City. Thus, the Green Bo(w)levard is expected to be a ventilation chimney for the area by brought the fresh air from the green space at the north to the building. Then, the fresh air will pass through the apartment surface for providing passive-cooling system for reducing urban heat island in this area.
INTER-MODAL DISTRICT RESPONSE
Inter-modal district is a busy district with high-level mobility. Site located between parking spaces, bus station as well as the commuter line station. It makes this site as a crossing path for commuters who will go and headed to BSD City. Amid the pedestrian mobility needed one node where commuters can pause and feel a different atmosphere in it. Thus, this project tries to provide some paths crossing and a large public space in the middle of them. The largest path provided is the path from commuter line station to the parking spaces. This path branched when headed to parking space to accommodate large pedestrian movement from and headed to parking space. Cafe and restaurant put along this path to provide commuters needs when to go to work/school in the morning or waiting for someone pick them up after works.
GREEN BO(W)LEVARD, as a inter-modal district orientation There will be a sky-bridge from bus station to the commercial area at the 2nd floor to response pedestrian movement from bus station. Then those people will be brought directly to the parking space through the escalator amid the largest path from the commuter line station. Clothing retails are put at the ground-floor as a respond of the continuity of people who go grocery shopping to the modern market at the west. In addition, there will be a drop off lobby at the west as the main entrance of the people who want to go shopping. The path provided from the north to the south east is the path for fresh air from Green Space at the north as well as a path for residents from the apartment above.
MASS FINDING
1. MAXIMIZE site boundary
2. INTERSECT with green and pedestrian corridor as inter-modal response
3. OFFSET building mass for human scale inside the bowl and the building entrance
4. PUT towers with bowl as the orientation and a receiving mass.
MASSING DIAGRAM
INSULATION DIAGRAM From thermal insulation analysis, building mass can provide the low temperature at the tower surface. It indicates that wind chimney from the bowl can work properly. However, trees or vegetations should be added at the rooftop for decreasing the temperature there.
THERMAL COMFORT DIAGRAM Thermal comfort at the public space is not too bad. However, vegetation and water required for increasing thermal comfort there. It’s in harmony with the landscape design concept that adapts natural elements of Indonesia.
CIRCULATION CONCEPT
HUMAN CIRCULATION
VEHICLE CIRCULATION This project tries to minimize vehicle pedestrian circulation crossing by separating the zone. Furthermore, apartment residents have private access to the apartment facilities as well as their units.
Apartment residents entrance Amphitheater Elevator Escalator
CLIMATE AND ENERGY RESPONSE
The design created a system of processing organic waste into electricity and compost by utilizing green space and covers on the project. Waste from apartment towers is collected directly by the residents to the organic waste treatment facility located on the rooftop podium. These facilities can only be accessed by residents. So that residents accustomed to applying the green habits in their living.
SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SYSTEM
PASSIVE COOLING SYSTEM Apartment towers can decrease the temperature of the towers independently by passive cooling systems. This can occur due to cross ventilation in the apartment unit which passes a small garden that brings fresh air into the unit. Then it disposes the hot air generated through the corridor.

INFARMSTRUCTURE LOW CARBON DESIGN FOR BUILDING AND CITY 2015 International Student Competition : Re-Ruralize The Orio-Hibikino Urban Fringe
As one of the most developing area in Kitakyushu, Orio-Hibikino growth will impact its surroundings (fringe area) to grow unexpectedly. This pilot project located in the area that is passed by the main road between Orio-hibikino. This site is expected to get the biggest impact of Orio-Hibikino Development. Re-Ruralizing this area will minimize the future problems by its own growing. The infarmstructure will be a place for people to do farming and other various activities while providing the energy and connecting people to the buildings around. More than just an infrastructure, this idea also shows the future residential typology that enhance sustainable living. PROJECT #5 - competition project

ORIO PROPOSED CONDITION The site was selected based on impact caused by Orio-Hibikino development. The existing University of Occupational & Environmental Health on the site seen as site’s uniqueness and opportunity. Also, the existing City Hall, Sports Center and Pharmaceutical School were
ORIO preserved as the city center. The existing condition shows that people can directly pass through selected area from Orio-Hibikino. Instead of providing transport system on the site, Infarmstructure will direct people to pass the area by walking.
ORIO Prior green spaces stand separately. Hence, it doesn’t give optimum impacts in flushing the pollution. By reconnecting these spaces and accommodating land for farming, Infarmstructure will maximize its impacts as well as provides public spaces at the walking distance.
Kitakyushu is emerging to be the new metropolitan in the south of Japan. One of the following areas to develop are Orio and Hibikino. Unfortunately, the current development seems to purge thegreen area for farming out-side the city. As the result, Japan’s food self-sufficiency was 39%on a calorie basis (2006) and Kitakyushu spent 8% of its import values for food. This data shows that the city (even the whole country) tends to face food scarcity in the future. Therefore, Infarmstructure brought this main issue in developing Orio-Hibikino urban fringe. By incepting farm-based infrastructure in the heart of the area, this fringe supposed to get both urban and rural characteristic in the same time, at the same place.

TRANSITI(Z)ONE Project : Parasitic Architecture Mentor : Permana
This project aim to make architecture intervention at Institut Teknologi Bandung that gives a transition between old buildings and new buildings zone. This intervention tries to bring landmark from the campus’s south gate (jam gadang) and modify it with deconstructive shape and used materials from old campus’s buildings as contra juxtaposition to bring a transition to new campus development. After trial and error design processes (through mock-up or sketches), we build our ‘parasitic’ design beneath the abandoned free column at the main axis of campus.

Project : Introduction in Urban Design Task Mentor : Ahmad Rida ‘Tata’ Soemardi Jalan Riau, Bandung - as a connector between the residential area at the East Bandung and activity cores make it be a high movement corridor including pedestrian movement. Thus, It is necessary to make a well-designed pedestrian path at this corridor. But, the pedestrian path in jalan riau actually doesn’t have a proper design. Pedestrian path usually used as either parking area or illegal street vendor. So, this design proposes to change all of the building setbacks to be an urban terrace that will be functioned as alfresco dining or bazaar to enhance pedestrian activity. For accommodating parking area, semi-basement parking to be built under the urban terrace. Street vendors will be accommodated by designing commercial pocket at the pedestrian path. Leveling between the pedestrian path and urban terrace can be a separator between private space and public realm. Thus, pedestrians, as well as shop owners will get advantage by this design.
