It will be awarded at the Capital District Convention in August. I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your part in achieving this award. Here are just some of the things you all did to earn this: • Citizenship Banquet • Creating a Shaken Baby Pamphlet • Giving to the Eliminate Project • Participating in Kiwanis One Day Project by cleaning benches and picnic tables on the trail. • Recruiting New Members • A special thanks goes to Pat Daly at Daly Seven for a donation to Capital District Foundation and Kiwanis International Foundation in our club’s name. Melinda Dalton, Past President, 2012-13

Did You Know? The Danville Kiwanis Club is now in Division 15 of the Capital District. Defining statement: Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Our values: The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis International were approved in 1924 and have remained unchanged for decades. Our impact: Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Kiwanis members stage nearly 150,000 service projects, devote more than 6 million hours of service and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. Key Club members pitch in 12 million hours of service each year, and CKI members another 500,000 hours of service! Aktion Club members donate another 92,000 hours of service every year. Add it all up, and that’s more than 18 million hours of service every year!
