Kiwanis History: Pregnant President Our club has had seven women to serve as President. • Vivian Giles (1996-97) • Janet Laughlin (2000-01) • Janet Holley (2001-02) • Vicki Jenkins (2002-03 and 2006-07) • Loretta Aron (2005-06) • Lorri Sampson (2008-09 and 2011-12) • Melinda Dalton (2012-13). All served the Club well and no, none of them were pregnant during their term of office. Up until 1969 Kiwanis International was on a calendar year so in December 1968 William (Bill) Hess was elected President. However, in 1969 Kiwanis International went to a fiscal year ending in September so Bill only served nine months so he has always been referred to as the “pregnant” President. ~DB

And the ‘future’ means we’re creating projects with concrete solutions and great sustainability.”
