The Herd lives by their tagline, “we party hardest than the rest”.
Last month, members of the local triathlon club, The Herd, competed in a half- Iron Man race in Santa Cruz. What is an Iron Man? It is a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, and finished off with a 26.2 mile run. A half-Iron Man is exactly that - half those distances. These fun-loving guys transport their gear in a beer-tapped bike trailer. Check out their website www.tritheherd.com to witness the intensity and the fun that comes with this lifestyle.

The Herd met up with another familiar Iron Man: Danville Police Chief Allan Shields stands with Andrew Lowe, Bryce Bochenek, and Joe Castillo.
