As gravel road gives way to dirt trails, you’re approaching the Ranch at Millican Reserve. A few horses gather to rest in the shade of the live oaks, while others run freely in the open field. The central barn and stables sit against a backdrop of green forest and open sky, welcoming those returning from an afternoon trail ride. More than a home for our beloved horses, the ranch will host special events. As graceful and majestic as the creatures it shelters, this special place is ideal for social gatherings, riding events, camps and community celebrations.

Our mission from the very beginning has been to create a unique and beautiful setting that brings people together with mutual respect for the majesty of nature. On this land, the skill and imagination of man meets the purest of the arts–– nature. Miles of winding walking paths and riding trails, expansive lakes and lush community gardens stir the naturalist in all of us. Creative conservation programs are in place, and a specialized group of resident community biologists ensure the land where Millican Reserve lies will be shared and appreciated by many generations to come.

The homes will be artful expressions of their owners’ vision, each telling a distinctive story, while sharing a common design theme threading throughout the community. The homes at Millican Reserve are intimately responsive to their natural surroundings, following the lead of early local vernacular architecture with numerous breezeways, porches and generous windows that provide air and light to all spaces. Metal roofs, wood siding and other natural materials are authentic and sustainable compliments to this otherwise untouched section of Brazos Valley landscape.
