SHANGHAI TOWER COMPETITION - SCHEMATIC DESIGN CBT Architects
ROLE: Graphic Design & Design Illustration DESCRIPTION: During the Schematic Design phase of the project, members of the Urban Design team developed four schemes for which I became in charge of two regarding graphics and representation. From the two, one became the design winner continued to move forward into Design Development. These graphics were generated using Vray for Sketchup, Photoshop for post-production and finally Indesign to create a design book. I have assumed similar roles in various projects for which I developed several design and proposal graphics for presentations as well as renderings for fundraising and marketing purposes. While working with the Urban Design Group at CBT, I reassured my innitial interest in Urban Design. The team efforts and design process was and still is admirable. I carry those experiences and skills with me and strengthen them over time.

SYMBIOTIC INTERVENTION
Fall 2014 I Studio Critics Mark Urrea & Richard Yeager The Hancock Tower is a well known icon of Boston. However, it does not offer public spaces that engage and redefine Back Bay and Copley Square. This project is an intervention in which new and old bond together to enhance each other and bring excitement into the urban landscape.

Fall 2014 I Studio Critic Lauren Shirley Bee Flow consists of an understanding of the needs, dynamics, and flows of movement that bees execute to access resources and bring those resources to the hive. Those dynamics adapt to the environment and interact with the human being by means of an intrinsic, physical and emotional relationship of interchanges that shape a conversation of movement and flow. Starting from the premise assumption that ecosystems can be altered by the absence of a member but also enhanced by the abundance of others, I studied Dorchester as a laboratory for beekeeping and honey production. By using all of the existing resources from food projects among the site and adapting green roofs to every building in the community, I provided constant nectar supply. I designed a working and living environment where bees and people co-exist and transcend from a simple working condition to a sanctuary that represents living as a community as living in a hive.

Spring 2014 I Studio Critic Heath Cody Self-Discovery, is found within each individual’s story and path through life. It is the moment of knowing that we are not alone wherever we are. Discovering ourselves is not so much about a destination, but the path to get there; what we bring, what we share, who we think we are and who we really are. Through this journey and in a serendipitous way, we converge with others. Ironically, this conjunction helps us learn more about ourselves by interacting and learning more about others. My project intends to bring the people from Jamaica Plain together as well as people that go from Boston to Forest Hill on
