Manifesto The Cloud Factory a type of specialised administrative body in the United Kingdom, specialised in regulating the geoengineering and modelling of clouds. The experimental directorate comprises seven buildings powered by hydraulic and wind turbines incorporated in the projects, capturing air and aerosol movement 1000 meters into the sky. The directorate is organized by geoengineering researchers, advocates, meteorologists, cloud experts, but also people searching for more. They dedicate their time in the directorate to gather and share atmospheric data using a range of open-air and enclosed cloud and geoengineering experiments. The design is informed by the technology used for geoengineering and aerosol capturing, as well as instruments used to track air movement. Given the sensitive and uncertain matter of open-air experiments, they are to be held only above the UK sending clouds using the prevailing winds from the west side to the eastern side of the UK. The open cloud experiments will be conducted with sea salt aerosols, which, have already been proven to work. However, all the sea salt aerosol cloud brightening experiments have been conducted over the ocean, not over land, which is where my proposal is aiming to fill the gaps. The closed cloud experiments will be held in the vertical deployable tower, under close investigation by the scientist. It is possible to engineer a particle that will disappear from the atmosphere within hours. The role of the project is to be a place for discovery, debate, and awareness over the wrongful use of geoengineering. To raise awareness, the project also provides a ‘proving ground’ for people who might have never encountered geoengineering, by crating a walkway which has different humidity levels and temperatures. As well as different levels of pollution.
