Hi! We are NS Bikes. We make bikes and we ride bikes. We should probably tell you that our products are the best in the world, but we won’t. The truth is, most of the stuff on the market is pretty decent these days. So we’ll leave it up to you to decide. All we hope for is that you will see how hard we have sweated each detail, how much thought has gone into the the concept of each bike, how much hard work and creativity has gone into making each one unique and beautiful. Today we are proud to present the 2020 range which, as always, is the result of months, even years of hard work, testing, revising, re-designing, improving, evolutions and revolutions. Are the new bikes good? The only thing that we can say is that would never make a bike that we wouldn’t want to ride ourselves.

Enduro , All Mountain , Trail This beautiful lines of this bike were conceived by the guys who made the Eurobike Gold Award winning Rondo RUUT. Very progressive geometry and kinematics, this bike simply blows everyone away after the first minutes they get on it. The Define features unique semi-internal cable routing - a solutiotn that is elegant and easy to service. The geometry is adjustable via offset headset cups that change the reach and top tube length, and via the shock mount which al-

lows the bottom bracket to be raised or lowered. Big sealed pivots keep it stable and guarantee long periods of smooth, service free function. There are a few things that we borrowed directly from the Snabb - and that is the kinematics of the 4-bar suspension that everyone loves (Pinkbike: â&#x20AC;?here is so little pedal-induced bobbing at play here that it sort of boggles the mindâ&#x20AC;?). These modern Enduro and Trail bikes are available with carbon or alloy frames.

Only two sizes of frame, but reach can be fine tuned to the size of the rider. The offset bearing cups change the virtual length of the cockpit by +/- 10mm.

You can raise the BB height by 5mm from the stock settings by using the adjustable shock mount or you can completely transform the bike by changing the shock mount & shock (changes travel from 155 mm to 130 mm or vice versa).

The pivot that is most difficult to replace is hidden inside the frame and remains completely isolated from dirt and water inside the frame.

The cables appear to be threaded through the downtube and chainstayâ&#x20AC;Ś But actually, they are only hidden in a special channel in the construction. Easy to replace anytime, anywhere.

DEFINE 130. All Mountain / Trail 29’’.

Arguably one of the most universal bikes in the range. Rip up and down mountains all day, every day. The carbon version of the highly praised Snabb can really do it all but the Define takes things to the next level. This beautiful frame is light and tough and has lot’s of unique features including adjustable reach and BB height. One of things we like a lot

are the semi-integrated cable guides - a practical and elegant solution of the internal / external cable routing dilemma. Oh and don’t be fooled by the “shortness” of it’s travel. It really feels like it has much more than the quoted numbers. At the same time, the climbing capability of this bike is absolutely amazing.

This new big wheeled Enduro racer and All Mountain bike is one of our dreams come true. The biggest and baddest bike in our range just had to go full carbon. With the whopping 150mm of travel in the rear and a massive 160mm fork paired with the 29” wheels this beast can roll over anything at any speed. But at the same time, the light weight, super efficient power transmission redefine the range of applications that

DEFINE AL 160. Enduro 29” / 27.5”.

Mixed wheel sizes are the talk of the town! After a lot of testing and processing opinions, we have decided to implement a solution that we truly believe makes a lot of sense for many riders. A big, fast rolling 29” wheel in the front plows through rough terrain, and a smaller 27.5 wheel in the rear is tucked in and allows more suspension travel to be applied without fear of conflicts with the frame or body parts. On timed

runs, this setup has proven to be the fastest, especially for smaller riders. Let’s not forget that this is still a Define - which means it is built around a gorgeous alloy frame with custom hydroformed tubes, hidden external cable routing, big bearings and radical geometry!

downhill, bike park. The Fuzz has been thrashed and flipped by Szymon Godziek at Rampage and proved itself in the racing environment, taking podiums at major DH events worldwide. It’s been ridden at the WC and IXS DH Cup by Polish National Champ, Slawek Lukasik. Built around a super tough alloy frame, these bikes have an incredible reliability record. The bikes have one of the most progressive geometries on the market and have offset headset cups that allow reach to be adjusted to personal tastes and track requirements. A 4-bar horst link floating shock suspension design keeps the rear of the bike planted.

The 29” versions sport a massive one piece rocker that keeps the longer rear end of the bike incredibly stiff. The frame is built with 6061-T6/ 6066-T6 aluminum tubes and double-pass welds for extra strength and we use big diameter max bearings for durability. There is an option of internal and external cable routing. Adjustable reach, super progressive geometry, dialed kinematics and great spec - this is what made this bike so popular among riders and reviewers. Available in 29” and 27.5” versions.

FUZZ 27.5” An all time classic. The 27.5” Fuzz has been around for a while and has proven itself in the real world of racing and freeriding. It’s easier to throw around than the 29” version making it a better choice for guys who want a more agile bike. It’s low and slack and has chainstays that are proportional in length to the frame size. The reach has a 16mm range of adjustability via the eccentric headset. The shock in the Horst Link suspension has a floating design that enabled us to move it close to the bottom bracket and give the bike a very low centre of gravity. There is a significant amount of rearward axle movement that smooths out square faced bumps. At the same time, the frame is very efficient under pedaling. FUZZ 29” Bigger is better, and this version of the Fuzz is not just the old frame with revised geometry. The whole frame has been completely re-designed and now features a badass forged one-piece rocker that adds rigidity to the rear end and drives a modern trunnion shock. Like it’s smaller brother, the frame features a low center of gravity, with the shock tucked away near the BB, adjustable reach via offset cups and an option of choosing internal or external cable routing. The suspension kinematics have been tailored to provide exceptional ride characteristics. There is a significant amount of rearward axle movement that helps smooth out square faced bumps, and there is quite a lot of anti-squat built in which minimizes suspension bob when pedaling.

Our new long travel machine was built for shredding trails and bike parks and comes with a unique 29” front and 27.5” rear wheel “Mullet” setup. This gives the rider the best of both worlds for this type of bike. The front rolls over stuff with ease but the

After the wheel swap the bike still retains correct geometry thanks to the set of offset shock bushings that are included. The lowered BB and slacker head angle optimize the handling of the bike for bigger kids (that will most likely will ride faster and more aggressively). Developed and tested by the NS Bikes founder and his son, this is really a dream kids bike.

XC racing , Trail Before you say: “WTF?! Is NS making an XC bike??” - stop. This is NOT just another XC bike. This is something completely different! The geometry of the Synonym is MILES away from any bike that you can find on the market. The the slack head angle, massive reach and very steep seat tube this bike descends better than any XC bike out there, it climb like a goat and charges like a bull on the flats. We deeply believe that short travel hardcore, lightweight XC / Trail bikes are the most fun you can have on two wheels when you don’t have a chairlift. This year many companies have launched bikes in this category, but even if they claim to be progressive, they are actually very conservative old school XC bikes with bigger forks. The Synonym is different. A totally new concept designed from the ground up. Everyone we know who has tried this bike has been simply blown away. This really is a game changer in the XC / lightweight Trail segment.

Game changers.

Bikes with modern, progressive geometry are now widely available on the market, however basically all of them are long travel Trail or Enduro bikes, often overkill for fast, flowing trails. The Synonym offers something totally different by applying new-school geometry to an XC / short travel trail bike. We believe that the limiting factor on many trails is not the suspension travel, but the position that the rider has on a bike and the way it handles. This theory is backed up by lap times and measured segments. We hate to sound so self confident, but on flowing trails, with a mix of uphill and downhill sections the Synonym simply blows everything else out of the water.

Benefits of radical geometry.

Everyone in our team was expecting that such radical new-school geometry would result in a bike that is super fast on the downhills. This is true, but the big surprise for us was that the Synonym climbs better than any XC bike we have tested and is also super fast on the flats. This is mainly due to the fact that the rider is sitting more in front of the rear wheel and the weight distribution is better when the road points uphill. On top of that it is possible to lower the cockpit and place the body in a more aggressive, aero position without the bike feeling sketchy on the downhills.

Design.

The beautiful lines of the Synonym have been created by George Dabrowski, the same guy who created the award winning Rondo bikes. Flex stays eliminate the need for an additional pivot, saving weight and adding lateral stiffness. We have used an ultralight combination of carbon fibre in the Synonym RC1 to achieve competitive weight (although weight is really not the factor that defines this bike!). On the other hand, the Synonym TR frames are built with a slightly different layering, and are designed to withstand any proper Trail bike beating.

SYNONYM RC. XC racing / Trail.

The RC line is designed for all-out XC racing and marathons. The focus in this bike is pedaling efficiency and weight. It comes with a flat bar, lightweight cross country tires and 100mm of travel front and rear. Even though this may not look like a lot on paper, we persuade you to check out yourself how far you can actually push this bike

on downhill trails. The radical geometry, never seen in this bike genre before, makes up for any “shortness” of travel. In fact the guys in our team use the RC for everyday trail-blasting. The Synonym is really something completely else!
