Arusha Medivac, the only Air Ambulance provider in Tanzania, with a rapid response to the Northern National Parks as well as all of Tanzania and Nairobi Kenya. Flying out of Arusha Airport, we also have easy access to tertiary medical facilities within Tanzania and in Nairobi.

Arusha Medivac operates Tanzania’s only dedicated Air Ambulance Service, providing emergency care and aeromedical retrieval services within Tanzania and to medical facilities in Nairobi, Kenya. Based at Arusha Airport near Mount Kilimanjaro, the company operates a twin-engine Piper Navajo aircraft equipped with advanced life support equipment, capable of night flights and landing at bush airstrips all across Tanzania. Authorised for night flights from specific airstrips only and able to land on bush airstrips during daylight hours, our medicallyequipped Piper Navajo aircraft will bring you safely and swiftly to hospital facilities, accompanied by a highly qualified medical team throughout the journey.

In Tanzania there is a great need for air medical transfers, medical evacuations and emergency medical flights. Arusha Medivac operating out of the Arusha Airport commenced operations in July 2017. It was founded by Mr Jacek Rejman who has been living in Arusha, Tanzania for 15 years. His flying career began with Flying Medical Service, where he volunteered for eight years, and strengthened his passion for serving the Tanzanian population. He then gained four years of commercial experience with Air Excel. In 2014, he established the idea of Arusha Medivac of which with the assistance of TCAA was fully registered and operational in July 2017. Arusha Medivac prides itself in having a passionate multicultural team. We consist of pilots, the administration and dispatch team, the medical team and the support staff team.

Arusha Medivac’s multilingual Flight Coordinators are skilled in assisting families during a time of crisis. They have extensive experience in working with insurance companies, safari companies and families in times of emergency, and their knowledge of medical facilities and airstrips in Tanzania is second-to-none.

Their understanding in dealing with every aspect of a medical evacuation allows our clients to take comfort in knowing everything will be handled professionally and efficiently. In addition, with a duty medic available 24 hours, our coordination team is able to offer you sound medical advice and treatment options for injury or illness that may not necessitate an emergency flight. HOME CONSULTATIONS

When requested our medical team can provide to residents or tourists of Arusha town only, home/hotel consultations should the client feel like they are not able to or don’t want to go to a hospital immediately. This service is provided at an exclusive fee per consultation and entails our team of medical doctors to be able to treat you at the comfort of your private space.

MEMBERSHIP

The full price of an emergency flight can be thousands of dollars. Membership insures you against this cost. • Resident: Starting at $50 per person per year, this category of members are given one free emergency flight per year. Individual and Family memberships are available for those living in
