The event, held at Mlimani City Conference Center, was graced by prominent figures, including The Speaker of the Parliament of Tanzania, Dr. Tulia ckson, who served as the guest of honor. The presentation of the Malkia a guvu all of Fame award to Mama Maria Nyerere, the wife of the former First President of Tanzania, Julius Nyerere, was a fitting tribute to a woman who has dedicated her life to empowering women and girls.

The winners of the various awards highlighted the significant contributions that women are making in various fields. nna

Makakala, the Commissioner General of the Immigration Service, received the Malkia a guvu Public Sector Leadership Award, while Angelina Ngalula, the Chairperson of the Tanzania Private Sector Institute

(TPSF), was awarded the Malkia a guvu Private Sector usiness eadership award. Somoe Ismail, the Chairman of the Tanzania Electricity Corporation (Tanesco) SACCO, received the Malkia a guvu ey of Life Award. Zainab Anseli, the owner of ZARA Tours received the Malkia wa Nguvu Job Creator Award.

The Malkia Wa Nguvu Creative and Innovation Award went to Tasila Melita, who designed a machine to burn feminine towels used during menstruation, while Dr. Stella Rwezahura, a Hematologist, received the Social Welfare Award for supervising the first bone marrow transplant of 11 blood cancer patients in Tanzania. Tuli Ester Mwambapa, the Executive Director of CRDB BANK Foundation, was awarded the Malkia Wa Nguvu Inspiration Icon award.

Overall, the event highlighted the importance of empowering women and young girls, providing them with opportunities to utilize their innate talents and break through societal barriers.
