In ϮϬϭϭ, that was the birth of >ucky CreaƟons. thile living in the beauƟful island of annjibar, I was inspired by the tourism market based in annjibar ;stonetownͿ and the inŇuence of the big Italian community living there.”
When the colors mix on a fabric to form bold, vibrant designs, you get a stunning African print. Tanzanian designers are not letting that opportunity pass by, they use all their imagination to create masterpieces.
They are claiming the fashion industry stage from the Swahili Fashion Week in Dar es Salaam to the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in South Africa. Tanzanian designers are pushing the boundaries with a simple ͞Kitenge͟ leaving masterpieces in their wake.
Every month Dar Life dedicates this section to young emerging and well-known designers who want to create brands and use the fashion platform as a stepping stone towards achieving their dream. This month we met Innocentia Lucky Sabas whose ideas in designing clothes and accessories are amazing, you must watch out! Innocentia Lucky Sabas, aged Ϯϯ years old, born in Kagera Region who started as a commercial model, and runway model in 2006 came up in the fashion scene from the pageant of Miss Tourism Tanzania ;ϮϬϬϲͿ. She worked hard as a model, because it was her bridge to achieve her goal of being a designer.

The name >hC<z was actually originated from my middle name >ucky ;A,ATIͿ and since all that I’m into is creaƟng diīerent looks, etc. I choose to call it >hC<z CZEATIKE^. Dy duty is to sketch from just an idea to an actual aƫre, sourcing for fabrics, styling, sƟtching and making paƩerns, working hand in hand with my team and tailors. Dy duty is to make sure lucky creaƟons do what every uniƋue fashion brand oīers society.

Lucky Creations has showcased in many fashion events within Tanzania and abroad such as Russia and Africa. S,E has also been participating in giving back to society through fashion when she organized a fashion event to raise awareness of the health of mother and child campaigns.

lovers in and out of Tanzania. She is an award-winning designer having won the Swahili fashion week award for best upcoming designer of year 2012.
Today, Lucky Sabas is truly a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry because her Goal is to make her brand not a trending brand but a brand that will last for generations to come. ,er designs are mostly based on the aesthetics of simplicity with a touch of class and elegance.
