Italian soccer league relies on Dalet solutions
Dalet has announced that the Italian soccer league’s production center, based in Lissone, has used the company’s solutions for sports content management and production processes.
The top-flight Italian football league has consolidated the production, management and distribution of its content into a centralized media infrastructure, increasing the production value of more than 400 matches as well as delivery in progressive UHD and 1080p formats over a complete IP infrastructure. The enterprise deployment is subscription-based to maximize flexibility and control costs.
The company’s Galaxy five solution serves as the control layer to manage incoming streams from the stadiums and manage that content in fast production storage, nearline storage and production center archives.
The underlying media asset management platform and workflow engine tracks metadata and orchestrates key workflows, including match content captured via 100 Dalet Brio IP ingest channels, as well as distribution of digital content packages to major broadcasters, media partners, telcos and teams via WEBPortals and direct contribution to the stadium during live events via Dalet Brio IP output.
“We took on an enormous challenge in building a new production infrastructure in such a short time – not just the workflows, but also a completely new facility in Lissone able to produce highlights, log match metadata and archive the assets. We needed reliable partners that would deliver and Dalet, together with CVE, did just that for the production part of this project. The solution has now been operating successfully for the whole of the season,” comments Piercarlo Invernizzi, CTO, EI Towers.
Skyline Communications announces that Sunrise LLC selects DataMiner platform for the automated provisioning of their latest generation of CIN and Remote PHY Nodes.
Sunrise LLC is one of the main private telecommunications company in Switzerland. These nodes form the outer edge of the company’s Distributed Access Architecture and are directly attached to their Converged Interconnect Network (CIN).
Many of these nodes will gradually be implemented, so it is crucial for Sunrise to set up a platform that can eliminate potential human errors. With DataMiner, they will be able to fully integrate and automate provisioning workflows using templates.
“We trusted Skyline to deliver us the required portfolio of workflows with DataMiner’s Process Automation engine – and that’s working as expected. It was the platform’s open architecture, enabling its integration in our existing OSS platform, and the ability for our team to maintain and customize the different workflows which made the difference for us. We are also grateful for Skyline’s expertise and valuable contributions during the entire project, from the workflow identification phase, across the definition of the different templates, all the way up to the testing phase,” said Daniel Hürlimann, Head of Access Network DevOps & Design at Sunrise LLC.
“DataMiner has been able to support the team’s commitment to service excellence for many years already, and we are both honored and grateful to now also get this extended role that will allow us to facilitate this important transformation for Sunrise LLC,” said Dominique De Paepe, Market Director Service Provider at Skyline. “It’s also a real pleasure to team up with a company that is so passionate about fulfilling their customer commitment. Their mission to communicate better and work smarter, perfectly exemplified through this project, was what triggered them to rethink all workflows and accept nothing less than a fully integrated process.”
