WHAT IS

modern luxury

?

Emblems of success have changed over time. Historically, ornate and precious materials symbolized opulence and wealth. Extravagance portrayed status. Jade, gold and diamonds remain symbols of timeless luxury but the glamour of new luxury rests in flawless technology and precise engineering. THE NEW LUXURY OF TODAY IS RESTRAINED, SIMPLE AND ELEGANT.

The existing building is a traditional style with gable roof. As my design point, I proposed converting to modern looking house. Therefore, I used the flat roof, glass, and metal etc elements to deliver the contemporary languages.

his is my first building I done, which is Wen-Shin reception center. The project was commissioned by Highyes commercial company, which is a real broker company. So the function of the building is selling the future housing for customers and showing 4 the sample of interior space for visitors. So it would provide a service requirement area, hospitality lounge, counseling area, administrative area, and exhibition area. So the first step, I placed those spatial requirements in the different floors. 1 The first floor2 is service area. There are valet parking, Staff Parking, and architectural equipment rooms, which include air conditioning and elevator equipments. The second floor has a hospitality lounge, counseling area, and administrative area. The third floor has exhibition which are the sample The drafts ofthree planes andareas, section rooms for displaying three types of units in the interior space of the future housing.

lthough the site is located in a natural environment, it actually is a manmade plat plane by removing the trees and cutting the earth. In other words, it is fiercely separated from the environmental, historical, and functional context. Therefore, we try to create a new relationship between the human and the nature. We also break away from regular monument impression and redefine the significant of natural and historical Alisan mountain, which is the geometry of coniferous tree, native symbol and mountain railroad culture. The new monument trusses not only integrate the nature environment, but also create the new public space for visitors and residents. The project successfully represents a new prototype memorial and commutation 㭺ⴱ嶈䦗 with nature and artificiality. It could be a new landmark and impression in Alishan National Scenic Area.

When Architecture Meets Metaphor In this competition, the most critical challenge is to develop a new memorial prototype by melding architectural language with metaphysical elements. The design process consists of tons of drawings, tests, and intense dialectics between the ideas of the metaphysics and the concrete science; the product means to invoke people’s memories of the forestry and of the mountain Alishan in Taiwan.

iven that the house prices reach to an unaffordable level in the metropolises, owning a house is really a distant dream for fresh graduates or young couples. Another phenomenon we observed is that there are a lot of unused spaces in the cities, for example the space beneath the viaducts. Therefore, for solving both problems, we design a special unit house which can be flexibly placed in the wasted places in the city. We believe that the fresh living style, accompanied with the computer- based high technology equipment will offer a perfect solution to the problems as mentioned.

lexible space, considering the space is for two people, so the zoning function is focus on simpler, and they are keen on mountain climbing, so hope their space can be large and transparent, decrease some compartment and create autonomous, furthermore, climbers prefer a large space for living, so the design principle is the whole space can be flexible to integrate, except restroom need appropriate partition. House of small space is not often enough to use for owner, especially for hospitable people, they hope their friends can always visit their house, and get together, but how to expand the existing space ? First, decrease some compartment and create autonomous space. Second, space condition changed. In this case, the cabinet, bed and bureau are suspended by the extension of ceiling, this way can reduce the “static load of mezzanine, and the mezzanine is designed to movable type by using the outdoor track, therefore, when their friends come to visit, the mezzanine can be extended to outdoor, and the space will become 2 times bigger, the furniture can be suspended on the ceiling, and also secure the personal stuff.

The water system turns into the boundary and the limitation of the urban development. In addition, because the principal part of the urban planning is the traffic system, the aspect of the city begins to change gradually and appears an unreasonable phenomenon the banks. In this situation the purpose of this design is to analyze the phenomenon. At the same time, it also can provide the possibility and worth of the watercourse The filter ditch To plant Typha in the ditches of the community can become the first step of the rain water’s system in the urban development. They are (1) the role that water resource system plays in the city and its changing, (2) the existing circumstances of on the banks and the development, (3) the communication and the connection between the cities and the banks, and (4) the imagination of the relationship between the future watercourse system and the urban development.

Establishing the Watercourse System

The Swap Area of the Urban Mechanism

In order to increase the space of the approachable waterfront, the arrangement is to demolish the dikes. It can ease the flow and make a mutual relationship between the water and city by the hydraulic structure. The simulation by the hydraulic structure can imitate and construct a new watercourse in the city.

In order to resolve the problem of the population density in the city the method is that demolishes parts of the original structure and moves the original quantity of the residences into the new buildings. It could relieve the stress upon the urban space and create a new public space.
