From the striking Sahara to the Serengeti to the southern coasts, Africa is a magical place a continent that still has landscapes where it is the animals that reign supreme. Darren has always been interested in the natural world. For more than twenty-five years he has attentively learned about animals and their natural behaviour. Throughout his career, he has had the great pleasure of working with a vast diversity of animals, including over 200 species representing all vertebrate classes. In addition to working with animals, Darren has taught various age groups about the incredible and exciting world of wildlife. He believes in respecting animals and observing their capabilities and adaptations in awe. Darren has a strong combination of education and experience. He holds degrees in Animal Sciences, Environmental Studies and Primatology, and has also completed additional programs in advanced zoology and wildlife care. His special interests are carnivores, primates, ungulates, wildlife conservation, inter-species interactions and animal adaptations. Through his new found joy in wildlife photography, he hopes to encourage people to become passionate, respectful and caring for animals and to ultimately conserve them.
