The Kids’ Midway has moved outside of the Agriculture Building, which not only provides more space but creates an integrated family zone. The Nashville North tent has moved into the old Kids’ Midway north of the Boyce Theatre, creating a separate adult-fun zone. Nashville North tent’s old home in front of the Grandstand introduces Triple B, where it’s all about beer, bulls and barbeque. Triple B acts as a family zone in the daytime and transforms into an adult entertainment zone in the evening.

ENtertainment
As a gathering place filled with community spirit, the Calgary Stampede is constantly striving to use Stampede Park to its fullest potential. Thus, 2014 brings a new Park layout that foodies, families and adults who want to play can all enjoy.
In addition to these location changes, the Stampede planner will help you find your way to new attractions on Park such as the Bell Adrenaline Ranch, consisting of all things extreme, and the ENMAX Corral Show – Peking Acrobats, a group of China’s most gifted tumblers, contortionists, jugglers and more.

We customized the Agrium Western Event Centre with horses and livestock, competitions and education in mind: • Back-of-house and staging areas are tailored for the needs and safety of animals. • Features on an extra-large arena floor with seating for 2,500 guests plus VIP suites. • An adjacent exhibition hall provides a show-ring or warm-up arena, trade shows or concurrent events. • Designed for national and international western competitions, rodeos, and trade shows. • The rotunda entrance doubles as a weekday classroom for Agrium’s Journey 2050 program - an interactive education program that explores the challenges of feeding the world sustainably by the year 2050.
The Agrium Western Event Centre is possible due to the Government of Canada and Government of Alberta commitment of $25 million each to the Agriculture Discovery Zone, and contributions from our key sponsor, Agrium, and other funding partners. Their collective support helps the Stampede elevate its agriculture, western and outreach programs every day of the year.

CS MERCANTILE
A New Stampede Fashion statement
GENERAL INFORMATION
Top designer offers a fresh take on a historic western theme
CBC
If you’re looking for someone to lay down the law on Stampede style, there’s a new sheriff in town: Calgary-based international fashion designer Paul Hardy. Working together with the Calgary Stampede, Hardy has put together an exclusive new collection of apparel, keepsakes and other special items. You’ll find his carefully curated selection inside the BULL’S-EYE branded, black-and-white themed CS Mercantile stores, only on Stampede Park. Hardy, whose work has been worn by dozens of red-carpet celebrities and appeared on magazine covers worldwide, says he drew on the authenticity of Calgary’s pioneering past to inspire the retail rebrand.

“
We’re trying to curate a mercantile concept that respects the origins, the roots and the values of the Calgary Stampede, but marries it with the interests of the consumer today — and more importantly, is a better reflection of the culture of the city we live in Hardy says. Everything in the stores is either designed exclusively or customized for the Stampede.

“
The Stampede appeals to a broad demographic of people, and so we really wanted to create environments that inspire and appeal to everyone. We’re really trying to recast a vision; to get people to think outside the box as to how they would traditionally view things
” “
So it’s destination shopping — you can’t procure it anywhere else he says.

hosting animals at the Calgary Stampede Whether it’s at Stampede Park or at our Stampede or OH Ranches, animals are the heartbeat of the Calgary Stampede. They bring our events and programs to life through exhibition, competition and education programs. Their very presence infuses the essence of country life into the heart of the big city, both during the 10 days of Stampede and year-round. The Calgary Stampede offers a special brand of western hospitality for our honoured animal guests. We rely upon an independent advisory panel of top livestock experts in animal health and behaviour to guide our decisions and guidelines. Every touch point of our animal guest experience is professionally managed, examined, audited and evaluated annually.
Celebrating traditions
People and science are at the core of our animal care approach. During Stampede, a team of veterinarians checks every animal daily, with more intense monitoring for competition animals in events such as Chuckwagon Races, Team Penning, Rodeo and Heavy Horse Competitions.
Oil keeps the show on the road. With 92% of our transportation needs fuelled by oil, it moves people, and the goods and services that drive our economy and improve quality of life. Find out more at More2theStory.com.
