Collaboration Pre-Fab 20/20 Competition for 800 sq ft dwelling SketchUp | Auto Cad | Illustrator | Photoshop
[Concept] to create a 800 sf prefab dwelling with minimal impact to its environment, that can be used in urban setting anywhere in the world. The design of this home proposes to utilize old and abandoned industrial railroad spurs and rail yards, where facilities have been shut down. Many old train stations and depots are actively being revitalized into community spaces, as well as the tracks and the property they sit on.

[Concept] The intention of this TOG (Temporary Art Gallery) is that by utilizing a simple recycled material, such as a tire, we can provide both occupiable space, as well as space that is portable, sustainable, and architecturally significant for downtown Austin.

Once a proposed tire shape is achieved, the metal tension ring is placed within the overall tire. Center points are located along the face of the tires walls, helping to create a needed centroid. Two-opposing holed are drilled for the insertion of the lag-bolt One hole is drilled for the insertion of opposing end of the tension rod

Concept: The Focus for this studio was to convert the 2nd floor of UNCC’s Kennedy Building into a interactive computing and learning center by utilizing new technology and flexible design

CAFÉ, OCCUPATION/USE IS DICTATED BY THE 42” DATUM, ALLOWING EATING/DRINKING ACTIVITIES TO OCCUR AT A BAR-TOP HEIGHT, ENCOURAGING COLLABORATION AND SOCIAL ACTIVITY.

LAPTOP ZONES ENCOURAGE A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO LEARN, PLAY, AND COMPUTE AT A VARIETY OF HEIGHTS AND USER SCALES.

SMART PHONE USAGE, THE SINGLEUSER CAN OCCUPY A VARIETY OF HEIGHTS AND SEATING ZONES FOR INDIVIDUAL PRIVACY OR SHARED SPATIAL INTERACTION.

[Concept]This thesis seeks to discover a methodology for compiling modular units in a manner that activates and enhances not only private space, but interstitial and communal space as well. The subject of modular repeated units has implications for not only post-disaster housing, but also conventional housing as a whole.
