01 Paradox of Urban Voids semester 10 Urban Architectural Year : 2022 Location : Thane, Maharashtra This project intends to understand the case of urban voids, specifically the underutilization of residual space created by construction of flyovers. This scenario is a case of urban paradox, ‘Negative space created as a result of positive infrastructure’. The project is not only about optimizing the conditions and situations prevalent to the site, but also to try and extend the boundaries beyond the set notion. Designing such spaces add meaning to similar redundant urban voids and also lead to the creation of functional urban landmarks Mentors : Ar. Prof. Snehal Gaikwad

02 The Pitcher semester 09 Mixed Used Architectural Year : 2021 Location : Mumbai, Maharashtra The human has been developing his characters through his maritime journey, he discovered instruments to navigate, crafted vessels to travel, battle and colonize, and atlast the addiction to commerce and trade which has seen catastrophic consequences because of industrialization. This representation of the journey of humans from the past has been detrimental to himself because of his deeds. Today in this moment of realization he stands and witnesses the horizon and has the choice to decide whether he wants to sustain through clean methods or take the current course and dive to extinction. Architecture of today is a bridge and facilitator for the human to absorb the reaction which the land is suffering, we will need to be very conscious of our ecological contours and include them as a defence and appreciative help towards reversing the change. 03 Minimum School Ladakh
TOP 10
competition (switch) school architecture Year : 2021 Location : Alchi, Ladakh The brief of the competition was to design a school in Ladakh for 200 students using minimum resources, minimum energy and by providing minimum disturbance to the enviroment and surrounding of the site. This was achieved by using locally available material, local techniques mixed with a few modern design ideas and passive heating design strategies. Design is planned to be easily executed by local masons with common knowledge along with a few modern yet easy design additions. Team Member : Atharva Rotkar

08 Space Paradox competition (mOOOArch) speculative graphic Year : 2020 Location : Home The pandemic has urged everyone to work from the comforts of their homes. The comfort has caused the blurring of boundaries between a formal workspace with that of the informality of a household. Every space in the house, now, spills over to create a working environment, thus no longer restricting it to a particular desk. This organic extension of workspaces, challenges the designers to achieve a balance in the functional efficiency of the space intended as opposed to the space it has become. Perhaps, as a comfortable corner in the bedroom or the leisure hammock in the balcony. The house is designed to suit the changing work trends during and post pandemic situation. The focus of the design is to ensure that the so formed work niches in the house are ideal and motivational to the working mind. The design adopts the concept of architectural paradox to express the intangible merger of spaces that is experienced through functional coalition. The drawing depicts, quite literally, how the spaces are extended into one another due to the evolved user-space relations. The purpose is to create flexible spaces that have the capability to adapt themselves to the changing idea of the work environment both, spacially and functionally. Characteristic elements like the balcony, the outdoor exercise area and the light punctures in the form of courtyards give a context of the outside to the inhabitants. These are not only architectural aids to connect with the outside but also beneficial for a healthy mind and body to work actively from home by bringing in light and ventilation. People have started using cycles are a freener means of transport. Work from home has forced people to attend meetings live from home. The new age dominated by artificial intelligence .
