This season, we have taken inspiration from curiosities and oddities, the weird and the wonderful around the world. In our quest to provide one-off treasures, we have hand-selected artisans and designed original, honest and stylish pieces from around the globe, that we believe reflect the unrivalled beauty of Mother Nature. As the darker months are drawing in, we have added some darker textures and colours as well as some bold eccentricities to our artisanal range. From making the everyday extraordinary to stepping it up for a special occasion, we hope you enjoy the eclectic additions to our offering this season.

To guide informed and inspired conscious consumerism, we have created the Dassie Symbols to enable our customers to learn and understand the humble beginnings of each of our unique products. All of our products have a story to tell and we want to share them with you.
Made predominantly by women.
Crafted using traditional mouth blown glass making techniques.
Pure. Produced from raw materials derived from living matter.
Created and directed in a cooperative structure, with proceeds reinvested into the community to enable self-sustainability and economic development.
Made under fair wages and in fair working conditions, supporting the development of working communities all over the world and adhering to the principles of fair trade.
Made from organic or bio-based fibres using organic processes throughout every step of textile production. This process avoids the use of harmful bleaches, dyes, and finishes.
Made using mango wood. Mango trees can grow to between 20-30 metres high, but as the tree approaches this size, they become more difficult to harvest and
eventually stop bearing fruit completely. On mango plantations, before the trees reach this size, they are replaced with young mango trees and the harvested wood becomes an additional source of income for mango farmers. The tree is cut and replanted every 7-15 years, continuing a sustainable cycle that ensures there is no harm to the environment.

meet the maker The gorgeous Dolly lives in Chetty in Port Elizabeth with her husband and two young girls. Outside of work, Dolly is passionate about singing and is very involved with the local church, where she gets to sing at the top of her lungs with everyone attending. Dolly has spent the last thirteen years perfecting her craft in slumped ceramics. She works to specific orders to produce the products required, this includes our best selling nibbles bowls and beautiful mud pan salad bowls. On a day to day basis, her job involves every aspect of creating the ceramics from start to finish, including rolling slabs, printing, stamping and much more.

meet the maker To carefully carve our beautiful bone and wood products, it involves a lot of skill and patience. Meet Benson, a big tea drinker (sometimes up to six cups a day!) who is part of the team who carve our bone and wood serveware in Kenya. Benson lives in Changamwe, Mombasa and originally began working in the city to help support his parents and siblings at home, but his job has now turned into a skilled profession that he loves and has a passion for. However, when Benson isn’t at work, he loves nothing better than to sit back, relax and enjoy an action packed film. Every morning he starts work at 8 o’clock in the morning. His typical day usually involves measuring and cutting the by-product bone to size, carving it and then smoothing it down. He then treats, cleanses and rinses it and leaves it in the sun to dry, so that is is now ready to be made into the products you see on our website. The skills he has learnt were taught to him by the older artisans and he is pleased to now be able to pass these skills onto new apprentices that join the team to help create more jobs for locals.

meet the maker One of our first and still most popular products are our rustic photo frames. They are produced in Cape Town, South Africa in a workshop managed by Andre. When not working, Andre prefers to chill at home than to go out. His ideal night is just relaxing in front of the TV. Although, he hasn’t always been so quiet-natured. He freely admits that when he was younger, he was a got up to all kinds of mischief and was sent to reformatory school! But it was here where he was taught woodwork skills which have now got him to where he is today. A typical day for Andre starts with opening up the shop, he oversees and helps out with the packaging of sales and orders and jumps in with the manufacturing of the frames and furniture

when needed - putting those woodwork skills to work! Andre is always the last to leave, making sure that the lights are off and locking up before the end of the day.

meet the maker It’s a family affair where our ever popular seagrass baskets are hand-weaved in Vietnam, where weavers like Hanh Dung and her husband work. Her sister runs the factory. Hanh Dung lives in the same village as her sister’s factory with her husband, daughter and parents in-law. Away from work, she likes nothing more than to relax and cook for her family. Her speciality is fried chicken! She also loves listening to music and singing and dancing with her friends and family. Her day-to-day work involves both weaving the baskets themselves and checking that the sequins are adequately attached and doing a bit of quality control when the baskets are all laid out in the sun on a mat - that they weaved, of course! The whole team take pride in their work and put a huge emphasis on quality - ensuring all baskets are clean and well made before they leave the factory. That’s the beauty of working with a family business who care so much about their product.

meet the maker Our new Ruti Loom range, made up of organic hand loomed napkins and tea towels come from India. Part of the team responsible for creating these goodies as well as our new stunning Saint Malo cushions is twenty five year old Pushpa. She lives in the village of Bashko in Bassi in the district of Jaipur in Rajasthan. Pushpa learned her skills when she married into the business. She was taught to loom by her in-laws who welcomed her into the business when they welcomed her into the family five years ago. Outside of work, Pushpa spends a lot of her time cooking up veggie delights with pulses and ghee for the family as well as running around after her two little ones, aged 3 and 5. She enjoys playing ball with them and occasionally practices yoga and meditation when all the ladies get together for community festivals.

Our growing paper collection is created on a farm at the foot of the Paardeberg, a beautiful setting with a full view of Table Mountain in South Africa. Each card, tag and calendar is handmade, starting with the collection of post consumer paper from local schools, banks and other businesses. The paper is this processed into pulp by adding only water. From this pulp the artisans produce handmade sheets. These sheets are then dried in a tunnel and embedded with either alyssum or poppy flower seeds, or basil and wild rocket herb seeds. These seeds will grow as soon as you plant and nurture them with the necessary water, sun and love. Now that truly is the art of good living.

Beer Bread Homemade bread has never tasted so good. Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread started out as Grandma’s secret recipe. They took her recipe, played around with it a little and voilà! The finished product is a timeless classic, packaged in calico bags hand-sewn by South African charity, Deaf Hands at Work, with masuga labels, also locally produced in South Africa on environmentally friendly paper. Each handmade bag contains all the dry ingredients needed to make a loaf of beer bread. All you have to do is simply add a 330ml brew of your choice, mix together and bake. In less than an hour you will have a steaming hot loaf of freshly baked bread. The Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread mix can also be used to batter chicken, fish, onion rings or even to make mini loaves or muffins. Simply adjust the baking time accordingly for all kinds of delicious treats! Not into beer? You can also make the bread with cider, any carbonated soft drink, soda water or just a nonalcoholic version.

Ingredients 1 Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread Mix (Garlic & Herb recommended) 2/3 cup smoked salmon, diced 1 tbsp fresh dill 1/2 cup spring onion, finely chopped 1 tsp lemon zest
Preheat oven to 190°C Prepare Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread of your choice as per the instructions on the packet up to step 5. Mix in smoked salmon, dill, spring onion and lemon zest.Spoon into the prepared mini loaf pans and bake for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Ingredients 1 Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread Mix (Garlic & Chilli recommended) 1 cup of whole kernel sweet corn 2 Fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (optional)
Preheat oven to 190°C Prepare Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread of your choice as per the instructions on the packet up to step 5. Mix in corn kernels and jalapeños. Spoon into lightly greased muffin tins. Sprinkle a little grated cheddar onto the top of each muffin (if using). Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Chilli & Garlic Beer Bread B001
beer battered fish Serves 6 Difficulty: Moderate | Prep Time: 10 Mins | Cooking Time: 45 Mins Ingredients 1 Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread Mix (Original recommended) 6 x 160g hake fillets 330ml beer of your choice Oil for frying Pour 230g Barrett’s Beer Bread Mix into a large bowl and add 340ml beer of your choice. Whisk the mixture until light and fluffy. Pour the remaining mix into a shallow bowl for dusting. Heat about 5cm of oil in a frying pan. Dust the fish in dry bread mix and shake off any excess. Dip the fillets into the batter and coat well. Carefully place the fillets into the hot oil and fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towel.

olive and rosemary flatbread Serves 4 Difficulty: Easy | Prep Time: 10 Mins | Cooking Time: 23-28 Mins Ingredients 1 Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread Mix (Rosemary & Olive recommended) 330ml beer of your choice 1 cup mixed pitted olives 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary - lightly chopped 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil Lightly grease baking sheet with olive oil. Combine the beer bread mix with the olives, 2 tablespoons of the oil and half the rosemary. Add beer and fold together. Hand form the batter into a circle on a baking sheet approx. 1.5 inches high.Add remaining olives and rosemary, pressing into the surface of the batter. Sprinkle with remaining rosemary and sea salt, then drizzle the remaining olive oil.Bake for 23-28 minutes. Cool for 20 minutes before slicing in random pieces.

Een account aanmaken
Ga naar www.prospectt.nl, klik op ‘Dealer worden’ in het menu en vul het formulier in. Uw aanvraag zal binnen een dag worden beoordeeld door onze klantenservice. Via de mail ontvangt u vervolgens uw inloggegevens.
Inloggen
Met uw ontvangen inloggegevens (gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord) kunt u inloggen op www.prospectt. nl. Ondervindt u problemen met inloggen, neem dan contact op met onze klantenservice via +31 (0) 182 686332 of info@prospectt.nl.
Mijn account
Na het inloggen kunt u via ‘Mijn account’ uw persoonlijke gegevens inzien en wijzigen, uw orderhistorie bekijken, uw favoriete producten bekijken en direct in de winkelmand plaatsen, productafbeeldingen downloaden en informatie over de levering vinden.

Bestelinformatie Minimum order
Voor de eerste bestelling bedraagt de minimale orderwaarde â‚Ź950,- (exclusief BTW). Voor nabestellingen houden wij geen minimaal orderbedrag aan.
Handmade
Als gevolg van het handgemaakte karakter, is elk item uniek gemaakt en zullen geen twee artikelen identiek zijn. Wij geloven dus ook niet in onvolkomenheden, maar zien dat als een uniek bewijs en ontwikkeling van het talent van de ambachtslieden waar wij mee samenwerken. Dit draagt bij aan de schoonheid en charme van onze producten
Voorraad
Als gevolg van het handgemaakte karakter van onze producten kan dit soms betekenen dat items tijdelijk niet op voorraad zijn. Wij onderschrijven de principes van eerlijke handel in reĂŤle omstandigheden en in realistische tijdlijnen. Als een product niet op voorraad is, zullen wij u dit laten weten en geven wij een verwachte leverdatum aan. Behalve indien er factoren spelen die buiten onze invloedsfeer liggen. Onze excuses voor het eventuele ongemak dat dit kan veroorzaken.
We zijn ook erg benieuwd waar de producten van Dassie Artisan een mooi plekje krijgen. Deel uw foto’s en inspiratie met ons door #mydassie te gebruiken op social media.
Levering
Wij streven ernaar om 80% van de bestellingen binnen 3-5 werkdagen (met uitzondering van meubels) te leveren. De meeste leveringen vereisen een handtekening voor ontvangst, dus zorg ervoor dat er op het doorgegeven leveringsadres iemand aanwezig is om te tekenen.

Verzendkosten
Voor bestellingen tot â‚Ź950,- brengen wij 4% van de totale bestelling in rekening als verzendkosten. Voor bestellingen boven de â‚Ź950,- brengen wij 2% van de totale bestelling in rekening als verzendkosten.
Nabestellingen
Zodra een bestelling is verstuurd, zullen wij de geleverde items factureren. De niet geleverde items worden op een back-order geplaatst. Zodra deze items weer op voorraad zijn, worden ze geleverd en zullen wij deze factureren.
Schade en onvolledige bestellingen
Voorafgaand aan de verzending zal de bestelling zorgvuldig gecontroleerd worden. Blijkt er toch een probleem te zijn, neem dan binnen 5 werkdagen contact met ons op. Samen zullen we dan zorgen voor een passende oplossing.
Nabestellingen
Zodra een bestelling is verstuurd, zullen wij de geleverde items factureren. De niet geleverde items worden op een back-order geplaatst. Zodra deze items weer op voorraad zijn, worden ze geleverd en zullen wij deze factureren.
Betalingstermijn
