Ricardo Sanabria Caracas, Venezuela. Being a journalist and at the same time, a graphic artist has given me the opportunity to experience several aspects of art. The curiosity of the journalistic profession has led me to research, and simultaneously to study my artwork but also other artists’ work. I believe these are the main reasons for DATG Concept’s invitation as the curator of their new exhibition at ArtExpo New York 2018. There are a number of very talented artists who have so much to offer, that sometimes is difficult to select the art

pieces that can connect with the viewer, even more with an audience as broad and diverse as it is the one that meets at ArtExpo New York. I’ve selected, together with DATG Concept, artists who despite being emerging in the competitive Fine Art market, have managed to attract the attention of many people through their participation in different fairs and exhibitions. For this exhibition the artists’ portfolio has been divided into six artistic movements: Pop Art, where for example we find Luca
ce
Di Giacomo pieces, an artist whose vibrant work and exciting technique, we believe will make a difference in the New York market. Hyperrealism, with Alejandro Brito leading this movement with well-defined strokes and concepts, something difficult to find in an artist. We selected Erik Kučera for his rather innovative work in Surrealism since it speaks through geometric shapes and the excellent balance of color. Sculpture, where we find how Rafael Montilla unmasks his migraine through his work or Andrés Celis with his movement and color, which makes his work stand out. In Abstract, Gabriela Zerpa seduces us with an aggressive brush but vibrant in color, rough but determined; or Juan Cristobal Araoz that surprises us with a contrast that could steal all the looks in a room. We have photographers who make
the human impact on nature their main theme, but in each photo, a complex story is hidden, work that knows how to express very well Miguel Salas, winner of the Best Travel Photography 2017 awarded by National Geographic. Strength and concept in the case of the paintings; light and discourse in the lens of our photographers; and movement and color in our sculptors. Ultimately, what we want to achieve with the viewers is to tell them stories, concepts; create connections and feelings so they can take their time observing and enjoying the art pieces. Hopefully, like us, you will enjoy this thoughtprovoking exhibition we bring to you. Ricardo Sanabria G.

Kyle Lochridge is an American nature, travel and wildlife photographer from Ohio, who focuses on authentically capturing the world and nature, raw, as is, just like he saw it. In 2016 Kyle left his corporate job to see the world with his wife and camera. Due to his passion for adventure, nature, and photography, it was a dream come true. He was able to live and breathe everything he loves, and it has been an educational experience like no other. He learned about people, the environment, wildlife, politics, and spirituality. He also learned our planet is breathtakingly beautiful, but it is at risk: clean water is scarce in most countries, plastic is a huge problem, most glaciers are disappearing, even protected forest are vulnerable, and we are losing wildlife and corals in huge numbers.

t a n s e s e Gr This tireless artist continuous expanding his horizons by entering the world of fine art with his mixed media technique expressed principally in his series
“Greatness.” It encompasses an immense amount of characters from the world of art, cinema, pop culture, sports, literature and fiction that have marked and influenced him throughout his life. Using his Wacom tablet his stroke develops movement capturing each detail of the character as well as by adding different textures of watercolors. The technique in Giclee printing on cotton paper or canvas enhances his work as well as his unique intervention with acrylics, watercolors and graphite.

Soria’s work portrays a reality transformed into curves and lines in perfect balance that reveals alternative ideas of extraordinary beauty. His work draws strength from the different materials and colors that he uses, which give it a unique and personal signature. The detailed finishing reveals the perfection and care devoted to each piece. He uses materials such as resin, metal, and clay. The combination of materials, textures and colors are part of the “limitless” style that stands out in his work.

Sylvan Siren Mermaid of the Forest by Miguel Salas
“Most environmentalist preach about the environment, some environmentalist get close to the environment, but only a few become part of the environment. I was grateful to have met Sylvan Siren a Conservationist Biologist in Florida who’s focus is to search and protect among other things the Florida’s springs.” Miguel Salas.
