History of Humankind

Eyes meet and intention formed; arousal, penetration and orgasm. Perhaps not the impregnation and implantation? Rapid growth in a watery bubble; massive squeeze, smack on arse and first big breath. Fed by nipple, spoon or bottle; but never quite when you need it. Grow some more, learn to walk, talk, smile and shit; all at the different times they require. Learn further, to share, care, fight and play, all in the day; then sleep all night, or else. Remain alive and well, unlike so many around you. Funny looking bits sprout; so boys and girls are different! Work replaces fun for most, but have to do the former to get the means to obtain the latter. Labour on, to satisfy others, in field, mine, factory or shop; just don’t stop. Maybe have to fight a war, to keep their old ways pure?

Espy a mate, who is, hopefully, clean, available and willing to take a chance on you. Kiss and touch, fondle and fuck; until the first child comes. And carry on, till no more do. Crappy nappies, screaming mouths, hungry stomachs, sobbing deaths; so be a parent. Children bloom, the working goes on; grandkids come before too long. Long years of stable boredom, desperately avoiding early decline into useless painful void. Old age strikes; joints seize, back stoops, vision fades, hearing dull, body melts, desires wilt. Past memories remain strong, but future expectations weaken; will today be my last? The end arrives; please deity, make it quick not slow; now I shall find out, if...? The journey is done and carcass returned to dust; by flame or rot, it matters not. One’s being may be mourned by many, then remembered by increasingly fewer. Until, eventually, completely forgotten by all.
