Thedō[cuirass]hasalacqueredirongo-mai[five-section]constructionin themogami[horizontal]style.Thegessen[skirt]ismadeofsevensectionsofblack lacqueredlamesandislacedinthesugakestyle.

Ko-Gusoku[otherparts]gildedmediumsizechu-sode[armguards]ofsevenlames lacedinthesugakestyle.Thekoteandhaidateareoftheshinostyle,thehaidatebeing constructedofiyozanescales.Fivelameetchu-shino-suneate[thighguards] withkikko-gane[hexagonalkneeguard].
NeoSchool: AgroupofarmourerswithlittledocumentationbutknowntobebasedinNara betweentheMomoyamaandTokugawaperiods.NeoMasanobuwastheirbest-known smith,beingheldinhighregardforhis120platekabuto.NeoMasanobu(根尾正信), mid-Edoperiod,livedinNaraandinKyôto.AtthetimeNeoreferredtothefamous NeovalleyofMinoprovincewiththeIbukiyama(伊吹山)mountainrangetotheeast whereironwasextracted.Thusitwasonlynaturalthatcastersandsmithssettledthere anditisthoughtthatNeoMasanobuwasoneofthem.

TheInoueclan(井上氏,Inoue-shi)wasasamuraiclanwhichcametoprominencefrom thelateKamakurathroughEdoperiodsinJapanesehistory,descendingfromtheSeiwa Genji.MentionofanInouesurnameisfoundinNaraperiodrecords;however,the InoueclanwhichlaterbecameprominentintheEdoperiodtracesitsantecedentsto theSeiwaGenjilinefoundedbyMinamotonoYorisue,grandsonofMinamotono MitsunakainthelateHeianperiod.MinamotonoYorisuesettledinInoueinTakai District,ShinanoProvince,andthiswasthemainbranch,buttherewereother branchesinHarima,AkiandMikawaProvinces.UndertheTokugawashogunate,the Inoue,ashereditaryvassalsoftheTokugawaclan,wasclassifiedasoneofthefudai daimyōclans.FollowingtheMeijiRestoration,theclanwasappointedViscount.
