2015 THE 5TH FLOOR NEW YORK CITY

2014 RIDE TO NYACK 80 Miles

Time spent on our bikes together is time spent getting to know more about each other.

We have many aims for this forthcoming road, track and cross season, both on the bike in terms of races and indeed results but also off. Amongst these are a continued promotion of community, creativity and a desire to build on collaborative relationships.

Our team is made up of a small number of individuals who really seek something different from the definitive cycling team or club. The benefits of us as a cycling team are that The 5th Floor is in itself aspirational. From our current kit designed by our own, to our results and presence in social media, we have established ourselves as a force within the peloton.

Our principles and endeavors have always been to work with like-minded companies and engender valuable and reciprocal relationships. In summary we seek an atypical sponsorship relationship that’s ultimately about what can we achieve together, not what can we get from you.

As a way to encourage riding during the winter season, the 5th Floor hosted a photo competition for a chance to win a winter survival pack of a iPac3 case and a Ass Saver.

This competition sought to engage our audience in designing the bottles the team. Creative out pouring was incredible and provided a design that complimented our team kits but ultimately a desirable piece of merchandise.

The 2014 pro team selection had a considerable reflection of the 5th Floor NYC squad. We attempted to engage viewers with the most significant race of the year with a very different approach to the many feeds available.

Tour of Battenkill was one of the most anticepated road race of the season. This was a way to document our largest team outing with lots of laughs, a hot tub, and good vibes.

SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS

What further sets us apart is that while successful athletes or teams work backwards to try and promote themselves and work up an audience around them, we on the other hand already have that captive audience. We’re working from the platform of established social media and branding, by being one of the defining blogs during the fixed gear boom and bridging that gap to become a fully-fledged cycling editorial, yet one with tangible grass-roots.
