Organic Chemistry Building Bridges to Knowledge Part 1

There are many articles and books about introductory organic chemistry. The articles in this “stack” were written to present topics about organic chemistry in an electronic format so that students could understand fundamental topics in elementary organic chemistry from a mechanistic perspective. Articles about “Organic Chemistry, Building Bridges to Knowledge” were written to clarify many of the concepts presented in a modern introductory organic chemistry course. These articles are intended to help students predict the properties of organic compounds, write step-wise mechanisms for organic reactions, acquire an understanding of syntheses, understand and interpret data from state-of-the-art analytical instruments, develop an overall appreciation and awareness for unlocking doors to multiple careers pathways, and to develop an appreciation and understanding of the connectivity between organic chemistry and other disciplines.
