David Schillo Public Speaking a Crucial Skill

David Schillo is a middle school science teacher at Dickson County Middle School in Dickson, Tennessee. He has long been an advocate for all of his students, particularly those who suffer from mental and physical disabilities.

David Schillo has developed Adaptive Physical Education programs for students with disabilities at Dickson County Middle School and presented many solutions for helping students with special needs to succeed in school alongside their peers and lead active lifestyles.

David Schillo, in order to become a teacher and advocate had to learn public speaking skills early in his education and career. As a former US Army officer, he also had to present solutions and programs to superiors in formal presentations. Schillo uses these skills to help his students learn by speaking clearly and succinctly for them.

David Schillo tries to help his students get over their fear of speaking publicly early in their educational careers so they can succeed in their future education and career. He was the founder of the Toastmasters International Public Speaking Club at East Carolina University.
