If you want to build more than just a farm in FrontierVille then you need to learn the basics and fundamentals. It can be a very fun game especially when you take the time to learn how to play smarter. You might wonder how some players build towns and level up so quickly. Here is a FrontierVille guide that will get you up and running. When you first start out you will need to create your character and then you will go through a short tutorial about the basics. Then you are off on your own to complete quests, clear your land, and plant crops. When you first start you will get the challenge to clear your land. It is important to note that when clearing your land you should do it in a space that is already away from snakes, rocks, and bears. Make sure to not use a lot of energy especially when just starting out because it is so precious until you get to the higher levels and increase your energy bar. After clearing a space on your frontier you will need to plant crops. Take note of your energy and make sure not to plant more crops than you have energy points because it takes one energy point to harvest and the last thing you want to do is let your crops whither making it a waste of energy and coins. One energy point is replenished every 5 minutes but you don't want to fall into the trap of having to wait. Instead be smart and use your energy wisely. Buy meals to replenish. This becomes so much easier when you start out planting the basic crops. I recommend just planting and harvesting the first four crops since they take little time to grow. Also you need all of the crops you can get to fill up your food store and have easy access to food for energy. That is where lots of FrontierVille beginners get lost. For the first few levels I recommend not even doing anything to waste your energy until challenges pop up. You don't want to feed your chicks before the challenge pops up because then it won't count and again you will be wasting energy. Be patient and don't get too anxious. I know it is frustrating at the start of the game having to get used to it but after the first 10 levels it will start becoming a very fun and entertaining game.
Another thing to note about FrontierVille that makes it different from other games like FarmVille and CityVille is that you have to rely on neighbors more so than the other games. Make sure to go to forums and Facebook pages where people are willing to add each other. There are lots of players out there just like you looking to add neighbors. Having neighbors makes completing quests much easier. Not to mention all of the experience points you will get for visiting them every day and completing tasks on their lot.
