CLOUD PCS FOR SMES
Have you ever wondered what cloud computing is?
It's the delivery of computing services over the internet, which is otherwise known as the cloud. These services include servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence. Cloud computing offers faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale.
Combine the power and security of the cloud with the versatility and simplicity of the PC.
From sole traders, companies, non-profit organizations, contractors to software developers and industrial designers, Cloud PCs enables a variety of new scenarios for the new world of work.

WHY IS CLOUD COMPUTING TYPICALLY CHEAPER TO USE?
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services over the internet by using a pay-as-you-go pricing model. You typically pay only for the cloud services you use, which helps you:
• Lower your operating costs.
• Run your infrastructure more efficiently.
• Scale as your business needs change.
To put it another way, cloud computing is a way to rent compute power and storage from someone else's datacenter. You can treat cloud resources like you would resources in your own datacenter. When you're done using them, you give them back. You're billed only for what you use.
Instead of maintaining CPUs and storage in your datacenter, you rent them for the time that you need them. The cloud provider takes care of maintaining the underlying infrastructure for you. The cloud enables you to quickly solve your toughest business challenges, and bring cutting-edge solutions to your users.
WHY SHOULD SMES MOVE TO THE CLOUD?
The cloud helps you move faster and innovate in ways that were once nearly impossible. In our ever-changing digital world, three trends emerge:
• Teams deliver new features to their users at record speeds.
• Users expect an increasingly rich and immersive experience with their devices and with software.
• Access Anywhere
Software releases were once scheduled in terms of months or even years. Today, teams release features in smaller batches that are often scheduled in days or weeks. Some teams even deliver software updates continuously--sometimes with multiple releases within the same day.
Think of all the ways you interact with devices that you couldn't do a few years ago. Many devices can recognize your face and respond to voice commands. Augmented reality changes the way you interact with the physical world. Household appliances are even beginning to act intelligently. These technologies are only a few examples, and many of them are powered by the cloud.
To power your services and deliver innovative and novel user experiences more quickly, the cloud provides on-demand access to:
• A nearly limitless pool of raw compute, storage, and networking components.
• Speech recognition and other cognitive services that help make your application stand out from the crowd.
• Analytics services that deliver telemetry data from your software and devices.
HOW CAN SMES BENEFIT FROM CLOUD PC?
Now SMEs can have several PCs for their Staff in the Cloud with various capacities regarding Processing Speed and Storage capabilities. Dawgen Technologies combine Powerful Processor with Adequate Storage
Processor:
A gigabyte (GB) -- pronounced with two hard Gs -- is a unit of data storage capacity that is roughly equivalent to 1 billion bytes. In decimal notation (base 10), a gigabyte is exactly 1 billion bytes. In binary notation (base 2), a gigabyte is equal to 230 bytes, or 1,073,741,824 bytes. Giga comes from a Greek word meaning giant. Werner Buchholz is credited with coining the term byte in 1956, while helping design IBM's 7030 Stretch, the first transistorized supercomputer.
A vCPU is a virtual processor, representing a portion of the cloud resources assigned to a user's Cloud PC to allow them to perform desired tasks. The more vCPUs, the higher the Cloud PC’s processing power and the greater its ability to run multiple apps simultaneously.
Storage:
RAM is storage in the cloud assigned to a user's Cloud PC. RAM and vCPU work together to determine how well an app will run. The more RAM, the greater the Cloud PC’s efficiency and capacity.
WHAT IS RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is the hardware in a computing device where the operating system (OS), application programs and data in current use are kept so they can be quickly reached by the device's processor. RAM is the main memory in a computer. It is much faster to read from and write to than other kinds of storage, such as a hard disk drive (HDD), solid-state drive (SSD) or optical drive.
Random Access Memory is volatile. That means data is retained in RAM if the computer is on, but it is lost when the computer is turned off. When the computer is rebooted, the OS and other files are reloaded into RAM, usually from an HDD or SSD.
WHAT DOES RAM DO?
You can think of RAM as your computer’s short-term memory. It provides temporary storage space for data and program codes that your computer is currently using. Your computer uses memory to launch programs, process actions, load features, and more.
While your hard drive and RAM are both measured in gigabytes (GB), they do very different things. You can think of your hard drive like your computer’s long-term memory, where all your files and programs are stored when they are not in use. However, the data stored in your RAM will be erased whenever you turn off your computer.
