In this issue we look at how letting go of a loved one’s possessions is not for everyone. But if or when you feel the time is right, here are some helpful suggestions from Lovingly Managed. Reverend Alexandra Wilson, interfaith minister and volunteer mentor at The Down To Earth charity supporting people on low incomes, reminds us how you can make planning a low-cost funeral a meaningful and rich experience. And I have some personal insight for you. I could only be the best I could be as a bereavement support volunteer if I was able ‘to see the pain and listen to the silence’. There is no better skill than the ability to be a good listener. We give you some practical tips. Do get in touch if you have any stories you would like to share. Until next time ...
